We talk about career scoring, and scoring averages... but sometimes its fun to just look at who scored the most in a specific, static decade. Of course, it all depends on when you came into the league, and when you hit your peak. There could be players who are some of the greatest scorers but had their primes start mid decade and end mid the nest.

Does this mean anything as far as player's status in some GOAT debate? No. It's just interesting, and might suprise you.

1960's:
1. Wilt 27,098
2. Oscar 20,261
3. Elgin Baylor 19,983
4. Jerry West 16,835
5. Hal Greer 16,390

1970's:
1. Kareem 22,141
2. Elvin Hayes 18,922
3. Havlicek 15,747
4. Pistol Pete 15,359
5. Gail Goodrich 14,692

1980's:
1. Alex English 21,018
2. Moses malone 19,082
3. Adrian Dantley 18,157
4. Larry Bird 17,899
5. Kareem 16,246

1990's:
1. Karl Malone 21,370
2. Michael Jordan 18,014
3. Patrick Ewing 16,914
4. David Robinson 16,715
5. Mitch Richmond 16,613

2000's:
1. Kobe Bryant 21,065
2. Iverson 19,154
3. Dirk 18,699
4. Paul Pierce 17,812
5. Vince Carter 17,341

2010's:
1. Lebron James 19,550
2. Kevin Durant 19,445
3. James Harden 18,627
4. Russell Westbrook 17,603
5. Steph Curry 16,315

I think the 1980's was most shocking. Alex English, Adrian Dantly.

And if you look at total points, how about that Wilt guy in the 60's? I've heard many people say "In NBA History, there's Wilt, and then there's everyone else".
