Looks like I might owe Dak an apology.
I doubt it. That's what's called damage control. I think he'll get his 4 years when all is said and done and I actually prefer it. I hate huge contracts that are also really long deals. You can regret them for a long, long time if they don't work out.Looks like I might owe Dak an apology.

True about damage control. Long ago I've learned you have to take sports reports with a grain if not barrel of salt.
If Maholmes signs this will be Jerry
Gulp...If Mahomes signs I think you just tell Dak that you are completing ignoring the deal. He is a generational player and already has a SB ring and could have had 2. I really, really hope Mahomes doesn't sign before 7/15 because at that point it almost doesn't matter. We may just end up with two tags and a hand shake and then go our separate ways. Would be sad to see and even sadder to lose our QB and leader, but at some point you just agree to disagree and accept that both sides need to make whatever business decision they see best...
I would hate to lose Dak and go backwards at the position, but if we get to 7/15 with no deal, we take another step in that possible direction. This doesn't mean we wouldn't still be able to sign him LT after 2020, just that we get one step closer to that scenario...If Maholmes signs this will be Jerry
"Maholmes? Mahomes who? I never heard of him."
If the have to use the tag again next season, it needs to be the Non-Exclusive tag. Let another team set the contract, and either match or take the draft picks. Hell, if I were running a team the non-exclusive would be my first option.
I agree, but I doubt another team would pay Dak Tisswll Wilson money, so we just have to match the deal or take the 2 1st picks. IMO Dalton and 2, 1st rounders with Lawrence as a 2021 possibility is enticing.I would hate to lose Dak and go backwards at the position, but if we get to 7/15 with no deal, we take another step in that possible direction. I hate to see that happen but at least we have Dalton as insurance.I would hate to lose Dak and go backwards at the position, but if we get to 7/15 with no deal, we take another step in that possible direction. While I agree, where it gets complicated is if a team with a lot of cap space front loads the deal. Let's say it's a 4 year $140M deal but the year one cap hit is $50M. I know they made poison pills illegal, but I think something like that would still be allowed.I agree, but I doubt another team would pay Dak Tisswll Wilson money, so we just have to match the deal or take the 2 1st picks. No telling if we will still have Dalton next year though. He signed a one year deal.I hate to see that happen but at least we have Dalton as insurance.
Maybe Ms. Chaney is GnG's mysterious wife?No telling if we will still have Dalton next year though. He signed a one year deal.
I didn't want them caving into Elliott or Law either.
