I'd like to see Tazawa's stats when he starts a new inning versus when he comes in with runners on. Just seems that he doesn't do well in high leverage situations.

And Matt Thornton shouldn't be used in lead situations at all, although I suspect that Farrell thought "we've got 5 runs, how much damage can he do?"

I would start throwing Morales in their in the 7th and 8th as first option

Drew's problems were injury related, not about his hitting. He has proven to be a .260 hitter with moderate power, and a decent fielder.

Victorino had a down 2012. He has hit pretty much the same way he did in every other season but 2012.

There’s nothing overly special about the Red Sox this year, they are the beneficiary of an AL East that has been injury riddled most of the year. The Yankees took 2 or 3 a few weeks back and they’ll at least split this series. They’re a good team, don’t get me wrong, but there is nothing “scary” about them. Other than the fact that they look like they have no skills whatsoever when it comes to personal hygiene, but looking like a scumbag is a Boston thing so I get that.

Except the are far exceeding many peoples expectations!
