Not get it done! This years Red Sox team won't quit! last years team would have lost this game.

Did the Ravens defense now this was an actual REAL game last night? Manning torched them! Welker Looked good.... 2 TDs.... Not that many yards 67 I believe but still not a bad debut for the Broncos

Something weird always happens when these two teams get together. The back and forth last night was crazy...

And, I wouldn't be surprised if Mo went 1,2,3 for the next three games....

Well, that was quite the kick in the nuts.

Can we grant Joba his free agency now?

That's my one complaint about last night. Why was he even in the game in such an important situation? Losing sucks, but they never should have been in a position for Mo to blow a save to begin with.

So the blown save was actually someone else's fault, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. :L

That creep's antics are such an embarrassment to the game. I suffered through a season of Edinson Volquez with a 6 ERA along with hat turned sideways, tantrums on the mound, setting all-time records for length of time it takes to walk from the mound to dugout after the inning, etc. But I can't even imagine having a basketball-head trailer-trash prick like that on my team. It'd ruin it for me.

Is he even in the game next year?

I found it a little reminiscent of Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS. Millar walks; Roberts pich runs; steals 2nd; and scored on Mueller's hit.

Napoli singles; Berry pinch runs; steals 2nd; goes to 3rd on the error; scores on Drew's single.

Trying hard to follow that logic. I understand that you think Joba shouldn't have been in the game. They did have Boone Logan, who warmed up in the 8th inning, but only rookies after that. Joba was at least the 2nd best option.

But not being in position for Mo to blow the save? That baffles me. They were down 5 runs, and scored 6 in the 7th to take a 1 run lead. Do you think they should have scored more runs?

Truth is, you are right. The Sox should have never blown THEIR lead in the 7th. I would have left Peavy in to start the 7th, but right after he walks Ichiro to lead off the inning after being ahead in the count 0-2 or 1-2, I would have pulled him. But for Tazawa or Breslow and not Thornton.

Good win for the Sox as they knocked out the Yankees best pitcher of late in Nova, and gained an extra game on the Rays in the process.

I think the entire AFC is scared of the Broncos. I'm wondering if that wasn't just practice for them?

Where did I say that? Mo shouldn't have blown the save, but I'm not too upset about that since the Yankees had no business being in a position to win the game anyway. Is that really that hard to understand?

OH DEAR GOD! Why is this such a difficult concept?

I mean the Yankees were only in a position to blow a save because they had a miraculous 6-run inning to take the lead. With the way Nova pitched and the way Peavy was pitching, the game was all but over until that rally.
