Ok so WTF does Smarther mean??

Guess Im not the only one that didnt catch that 'h' in there...

Good troll job. Not the best, but good
It means nothing. It's nonsense. I got tired of people resorting to attacking my previous screenname when they couldn't come up with a decent argument. So I made up a name I knew they would attack, but make themselves look like an ass when they missed the 'h'. Since 2005, I can't even tell you the number of people have done what Hammer did in this thread. It's lame to attack a person's screenname, and it helps crystallize their lameness.

Isnt it like 745 out there? & you've already driven in... Seriously, whats with a job like that?

It's called "If you want to walk 50 ft from car to door, you arrive for your 8 a.m shift at 7:15. If you show up around 8, it's more like 200 yards away".

I'm old and lazy, so, there you go. And, I use that time to post here, and to do all blocked internet things on my laptop before getting going each day.

You would have to ask someone who has been there in the past 20 odd years, not me. That said, living in the S.F bay area, I see guys playing grab ass around here all the time........

No one cares about the 'h' just like no one cared about the missing 'l' in my name back on CBS.

It's lame (and obvious) to pretend you have no idea what anyone is talking about when you clearly do.

I think the entire AFC is scared of the Broncos. I'm wondering if that wasn't just practice for them?

The way to beat Manning is the same way you beat Brady, and that is to get in his face. The trouble is, the Mannings have it in their contracts that if they get hit, the person responsible is to be publicly ridiculed at first, then tortured, and ultimately shot. This nearly guarantees their protection for a season.

The Broncos are scary because they actually have a good D, and were playing without Champ Bailey and Von Miller last night. With Welker as a security blanket, Thomas and Decker can run more intermediate routes and open up the whole field for Peyton. That is not good news for the AFC.

I think you have to control the ball (and clock) to keep Peyton on the sidelines and try to get him out of rythym in order to have a chance.

Either that or "break his freakin neck".

7th inning meltdown by Peavy and pen still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Glad for the extras win, but shouldn't have even come to that.

Should have been pulled after walking Ichiro to start the 7th. Already had 105 pitches after 6.

How many late leads has Tazawa blown this year? 7? 8? 9?

HA!!

The joke is still on me. Why? Because I am an afternoon person, probably only worth a damn between say noon & 4 p.m.

Lucky for me, I am on auto-pilot here most of the time, and have mastered the art of sleep-working.

I was none to happy when Peavy lost the W last night as well. Oh well, at least there was Shane Victorino.....

Today, right now, the Yankees are better.

And deep down you know this.

Is that because the Yankees have a better rotation?

C.C. looks like a washed up Mickey Lolich out there this season. I expect to see him on the "Biggest Loser" next season. Kuroda has hit a rough patch, but is still good. After that: Nova, Pettitte, and Huff? Puhl...eeeease!

The Sox can throw out Lester, Peavy, Lackey, Doubront, and Dempster. We also get Buchholz back next week. The Sox lack some bullpen depth because of the injuries to Hanrahan, Bailey, and Miller, but their bullpen is still good with Uehara closing it out.

Or was it the offense? I will take the Sox lineup over the Yankees any day. The only offensive edge the Yankees would seem to have would be Cano over Pedroia, but I will take Pedroia's overall game, given his hustle and leadership over Cano any day.

That's my one complaint about last night. Why was he even in the game in such an important situation? Losing sucks, but they never should have been in a position for Mo to blow a save to begin with.

I'd like to see Tazawa's stats when he starts a new inning versus when he comes in with runners on. Just seems that he doesn't do well in high leverage situations.

And Matt Thornton shouldn't be used in lead situations at all, although I suspect that Farrell thought "we've got 5 runs, how much damage can he do?"

What I fault Tazawa for is getting beat with off-speed pitches by Granderson and Overbay. The guy was bringing it as high as 97 last night. If you want to use a splitter or other breaking ball, throw it out of the zone, and then come back with heat.

Thornton should have never been in the game unless he was starting the inning.

My biggest pet peeve about pitching is that pitchers don't trust their fastballs enough. It is still the best pitch in the game because of the velocity and the control a pitcher can exhibit with it.

Hello 0-1

I had Welker he did ok in a non PPR league....Where is CHJ to take his lashing.

Also for the Joba comment. Is it bad that I think he will be Houston's closer next year?

Sox are in trouble when Shane Vic remembers he is Shane Vic. Same rule applies to Drew.

I think WMB is back though...his avg since returning is a bit to high but the power is legit.
