I wonder if part of that is because teams try to sneak players through, so there isn’t any central reporting system in place.

There has to be something or, otherwise, teams would be sneaking players through all the time.

And I am surprised that Diaz got claimed.

I wonder if Camargo is about to get added to the 40 man roster (only names that make sense on the list is Harrison and Fitzgerald). If so, this doubly makes no sense. Why not dfa Pollock?

I figure it is Fitz or Harrison. Maybe both, with Pollack going to 60? I would think they would DFA Pollock, but they announced the Gonzo DFA and didn’t announce a Pollock DFA, so I have to assume that didn’t happen.

As far as DFAing Gonzo, I have absolutely zero problem with that. Dude made boneheaded mistake after boneheaded mistake. He was Dubon on steroids.

Meckler seems a bit rushed but glad to see him getting his shot. Optioning Matos and dfa'ing Gonzalez means more excuses for Pederson to be in right field (not that there is truly any excuses that make sense to have him fielding anywhere, let alone right field).

Camargo seems nonsensical. Why not Fitzgerald? If Meckler earned a promotion, Fitzgerald has earned it all the more.

That seems to be the general MO on guys FZ and Co are picking up "well, they had some success a few years ago".

Mathias has some promise but the Giants don't lack for middle infield promise. Maybe give the guys who are already in the org a chance first.

If the “kids” aren’t ready, I am totally OK with giving a disposable asset a job first. Fitz was not a HUGE known quantity coming into this year. I am totally willing to accept the fact that he has some major hole in his game that makes him a bad option for calling up.

That is where the churn really bothers me. Acquire players that you don't like? Okay, so why get other players that you won't like? Its not like Camargo and Mathias don't have some holes too.
I have to confess, I just get really annoyed when guys developed through the farm produce and don't get their shot while castoffs from other orgs get acquired and immediately get plugged in.
