Yea I could tell from his ERA and 3-0 W/L record and seeing some of his innings that he would grow on the fan base.

true story: I gave all the kids on my LL team nicknames, they all got a big kick out of it and felt 'cool' when I addressed them as such during the games shouting instructions - praise etc from the dugout or coaches box at 3rd.

Ryans nick name was 'Big Show' :thumb:
That makes me want to go to a game next time they are in San Diego and yell that to him.

Great anecdote!

I just saw Ryan is the starter at home vs BOS this afternoon.

BoSox playing VERY well lately. He is going to need to have his A game today

I am a rookie at posting pics ( sorry )

Ryan is back row 2nd kid from the left.

Me ( head coach) far right
Speaking of sharing pics from when players were kids…

This is very Giants-centric, but it is a beloved pic amongst Giants fans…

This is Brandon Crawford back in ‘93 when the Giants were on the verge of moving to Tampa. It appeared in the SF Chronicle at the time. Little did anyone know…

Great job taking 2/3 from BoSox last weekend !

Hopefully the Mariners finish the west coast beat down and send them out of town with their sorry ass banging the back of their legs.

1st pitch walk off in Sat nights game off Jansen was a riot !! :pound:

Brebbia transferred from the 15 to the 60
Yaz added to the 10
Mathias added to the 40
Pollock added to the 26 and 40 (not sure how this is possible seeing as he was added to the 10-day on the 22nd…)

Apparently we had an open 40 spot already.

Mathias might be an interesting utility player moving forward.

Pollock will be a #forevergiant for about three weeks. Then he'll be cut.

This is not the move FZ is working on.

To keep Mathias (without getting him through waivers), he will have to be with the big club next year.

So we get two months to evaluate him.

This is an org depth move, not a playoff push.
If we just give up someone like Aldrete, then fine. Who cares. Deck chair rearrangement.

But I think I might prefer to take a “final” look at Ramos. He is doing well in Sacto atm. Is he salvageable at all?
