Ryan has also attempted nearly 50 passes more per game than Rivers. And that's a great story about Gates but he's averaged less than 10 games per season since 2010
So get throws it 3 times per game more than Rivers ?

Ryan also has a better win %, better completion % and a lower INT % ( despite throwing it more )

It's not close . Pretty much every metric favors Ryan and by their career end the raw numbers will as well ( barring something weird like Rivers playing til hes 45)

All that said I still think Rivers has a shot

Since becoming the full time starter, and never missing a game, Rivers has averaged close to 30 touchdowns per game and 15 interceptions.

Rivers > Big Ben > Eli

30 touchdowns per game is damn impressive although the 15 interceptions a game is pretty awful:D

Lol. Ryan has had 1 great receiver . Julio . Rivers had LT and both had HoF TEs ( Rivers his whole career ) and no he hasn't averaged better numbers . Ryan has averaged more yards , more TDs and has a better QB rating in both the regular season and the playoffs.
Ryan also had Roddy White who was a beast earlier in Ryan's career. Also had Tony Gonzales for a few years as well.

he just was never the "best" i can see him getting in jhust not first ballot

I never said first ballot and the thread doesn't say first ballot.

It just asks for players who will be in the HOF. Witten is a 100% Lock for the HOF.

Rivers should not get in. No playoff success. He wasn't considered a top 3 QB in any season.
