Matt Ryan would need to win a SB. He's not anywhere near Wilson's level.
Maybe but he will be too 5 in every category by the time he retires ( if he plays 5 more years or so ) and he's already got an MVP and a SB appearance. His case is better than anyone I put behind him imo

Matt Ryan has a better chance of getting in than Rivers .

Locks right now at QB

Brady
Brees
Big Ben
Rodgers

Guys who will likely get in at QB if their careers maintain .current course

Wilson
Ryan

Guys who may make it

Eli
Rivers

Guys I think will get in but have a ways to go

Luck
Mahomes

I stopped reading right there since you clearly have no idea what you're talking about

Eli is an interesting case . Mediocre numbers ( even subpar by his contempararies standards ) but 2 SB wins. Some people think he's a lock while others think there's no way he gets in. Ultimately I think if his last name was Jones he'd be left out but its not do he probably gets in

799 less career pass attempts than Rivers but significantly less yards. So is Ryan a product of a system or just a product of always having great receivers? He's also thrown the ball more times per year than Rivers on average by a lot..

?? Why . Ryan will end his career with better stats , better playoff numbers , an MVP ( at least one ) and at least 1 SB appearance . Frankly I don't think it's all that close between him and Rivers assuming Rivers has another few years similar to his career stats

He has won two championships as a starting QB.

Doesn't mean he was a better QB than some guys who aren't in, or current guys, but winning championships is what it's all about.

I don't know for certain or anything, but I'd be shocked if there is a Two time championship winning starting QB that isn't in.

Shit, I actually forgot Peyton earlier... that's my bad. Lol

Ryan also played with significantly better skill position players but yet still has to throw the ball 600+ times a year to get his numbers while Rivers spent years with Gates as his best option and Vincent Jackson as the number 2

So QBs with great wideouts can't get in?? Lol. I don't understand your point . Both guys are mid to high 7s on ypa career. Yes Atlanta has thrown more but Atlanta also didn't have a HoF RB like the Chargers did for many of Rivers years.

All I'm saying is Ryan is almost 4 years younger than Rivers . He will almost certainly end his career with more yards , more TDs, more MVPs and more SB appearances . If LA wins one in the next few years the debate will change

Not what I said at all, but yet Ryan has had significantly better wide outs his entire career but yet Rivers has put up better numbers on average

Lol. Ryan has had 1 great receiver . Julio . Rivers had LT and both had HoF TEs ( Rivers his whole career ) and no he hasn't averaged better numbers . Ryan has averaged more yards , more TDs and has a better QB rating in both the regular season and the playoffs.

Ryan has also attempted nearly 50 passes more per game than Rivers. And that's a great story about Gates but he's averaged less than 10 games per season since 2010
