In loki's defense, this is a thread about Sids broken jaw, not Cam Neely or Savard. No Pens fans are happy about it. Any fans in the same situation would be upset too. I am glad he will be able to return this time. Wouldnt wish this type of injury on any player. I see your point but that doesnt make Sids injury any easier in the short term so to speak for loyal Pens fans.

and Boss........NEVER eat someone elses meatloaf unless you make it yourself! Thats my rule at least. You never know what some people put in there.

Serious question Boss,......are there any places in Buffalo that you can get a Buffalo burger or is that a moral crime to eat in city limits? Come to think of it, I dont think you can get any Frickassee Penguin anywhere in Pittsburgh that I know of?

Two points:

1. If you make it yourself, is it not your meatloaf and not someone else's?
2. My meatloaf is delicious, and you can trust it.

That's all I have to contribute to this thread. :D

Sid got hurt on a fluke play. Bailey got hit from behind & is apparently okay. I don't know what this means, but strange things happen when the Isles play the Pens.

You guys play us tough. We usually win, but it's usually a good game, and we usually lose a key player.

It is weird, though, because for the most part, the injuries are just freak accidents, just about completely out of the Islanders players' hands.

Unless you have the sneakiest dirty players in the league who can just make everything look like an accident... :tinfoil:

Well in the past three Islanders games Perrault, Coburn & Crosby have been injured. I can't explain it. It's in the hands of the HOCKEY GODS!!

You know, a little rest before the playoffs in a condensed shortened season could well be a blessing in disguise.

You're right, BUT, what if you make the meatloaf using someone elses recipe? That way, its someone elses meatloaf that you made yourself! Thats ok in my mind because you know everything thats in it. Uhhh, thats what I mean before. Yeah I will stick to that.

It's true though...meatloaf has a very wide range of possibilities. Mine: eggs, breadcrumbs, bbq, ketchup, garlic, onion, S&P, shredded parm.

There you go! Thats a good recipe with nothing crazy added that some people do. You should add some meat tho because its just dip without meat.

To get back on topic, some may want me dead after this comment but I cant say I am not a little pissed the Brooks Orpiks slapshot that his Sids grill was 10ft off target. I know he didnt intend on hitting Sids teeth but WTF? How can you miss that bad? None the less, it was an accident and nobody is to blame but damn.

It looked like it deflected off of an Isle d-man to me. I want to say that it hit his stick?

Randy Carlyle on Sid's jaw: "Is that the hockey gods trying to send a message?"

I'm still confused about what magical rule the Pens broke...assembling talent? Taking advantage of the cap space made because of a fair trade(s)?
