Your point is stupid. Yeah, we got lucky that we have had Lemieux, Crosby, and Malkin. Still sucks Lemieux had back problems and cancer, that Crosby's had several great seasons shortened by injury, and that Malkin's been no stranger to missing time either. Why is that unreasonable?

Yeah, it sucks Cam Neely's career was ruined/shortened by a cheap hit but I guess that's been covered already huh? He may well have gone down as the best right winger ever to play the game but never got the chance to get that distinction. Or Savard who's career is done. Orr had to retire before hitting his prime and there were plenty of dirty hits that contributed to his knee injuries. If he got to play until his late 30's he would be known as the greatest player ever even over Gretz. At least Sid's, Geno's and Mario's injuries were accidental. Be grateful Sid and Geno play again.

In loki's defense, this is a thread about Sids broken jaw, not Cam Neely or Savard. No Pens fans are happy about it. Any fans in the same situation would be upset too. I am glad he will be able to return this time. Wouldnt wish this type of injury on any player. I see your point but that doesnt make Sids injury any easier in the short term so to speak for loyal Pens fans.
