It's sort of funny because it was against the Pens that perhaps the Leafs best player (Lupul) broke his arm on a shot from his own player. Wonder what meaning THAT held?! Clearly there's meaning! Flukes don't happen!


I do see the whole "he yaps too much" thing, but I stand by the fact that (at this point in his career) he yaps no more or less than the average NHLer.

Sid was at CEC today visiting teammates, Shero and the Pens have said he's had no concussion like symptoms. Who the hell is his source? Where do guys get this crap? Maybe Sid is telling HIM something he decided not to tell his doctors! It's a possibility, but from the beginning they've been up front in saying that wasn't an issue...if it were, I could see them skating over the subject, but they've been straight forward and honest. Just don't see it.

Also: having symptoms appear nearly a week later doesn't happen...like ever. Can't rule it out I suppose, but you don't go from no symptoms to symptoms. You can go from symptoms to none to symptoms...just never seen it go from nothing to something without some other factor.

While I'm sure this apparent 'revelation' would please many people, I kind of doubt the franchise that employs him would put out pure BS about their captain's current health situation. It's not just the Internet, either. They reported this in their daily press releases, as well.

I doubt that any hockey franchise (the sport that invented the phrases upper/lower body injury) are ever forthcoming with injury news short of fatal....

Pretty sure with the recent focus on concussions in the NHL that if a team was falsely reporting a clean slate of health for a player in hopes of hiding concussion symptoms, that team would be making an egregious mistake. And I highly doubt the Pens would be willing to risk Crosby coming back before he's ready.

Symptoms could have been masked by the pain and meds associated with the broken jaw and subsequent surgery.
