Cowherd: just admit you're critical of Lebron because you're worried he's better than Jordan

Yep. And they would say it's better to be them than to have lost in the AFC title game every year instead.

The worst poster in the NBA thread (I don't need to need to name him), is better than any fan you're going to run into at the bar.

You can name me. I don't mind.

Or to have been the Oilers in that time period and made it to the playoffs every year in a row for 7 years and not even have reached the AFC Title Game.

Ruth will always be GOAT I agree bc of the longevity of his complete dominance. Bonds probably had the best prime of all-time (Ruth is still right there) and he has 6 MVP's to show for it. If they had MVP's in Ruth's time I would be interested to see how many he would have won, there were some great great players in his generation.

Bonds has 7 MVPS

The thing about Bonds is that he won 3 MVP's early in his career, 90, 92-92

and then 4 in a row 2001-04, and that is while Pujols was absolutely destroying the baseball.

Without Bonds, Pujols has 5 MVP's

The first 3 peat was sweet. The 2nd one was the most impressive.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a team lock down like on defense.

Rodman, Pippen, Jordan -- all first team defense. No team has ever had 3

That 3 isn't even close to what Lebron has right now. It's crazy to think they will call the Cavs a super team (which I don't think they are) when they have two guys who play average defense at best. Now they are better offensively than the guys MJ had but defense wins championships and you can't get two better defensive beasts than Rodman and Pip.

Two 3 peats. Zero losses in the finals. It's not about 6 rings. It's about domination. Did the Bulls ever even face a game 7 in the finals? Cmon Man!! It's like Groundhog Day around here lately

Word for the day...

Domination -- not how you like it when your dog humps your leg

I don't think people know how to read, to be honest. I'm not arguing LeBron (or anyone) over Jordan, just that the oft-repeated "you need 6 or more titles to be the best" argument is nonsense. The number of championships is only one factor in determining the greatest ever.

You don't but several people in the industry with considerably more clout and credibility have placed Kobe closer to being almost as good then LeBron. The list by Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson is
1 Michael Jordan
2 Kobe Bryant
3 LeBron James

Phil Jackson ranks a guy who played for him above LeBron? C'mon. Phil Jackson is not a neutral party here. Neither is Jordan.

Yeah I feel like Pujols is underrated, doesn't seem like he gets as much credit as he should, at least in my eyes.

I like Kobe a lot, I have him right around 10nth on my list of GOAT's, he's usually 10 or 11 when I sit down and make a list.

I would probably put him right outside the top 10.

Ruth once hit more HRs by himself than any other TEAM in baseball. If they had MVPs back then he'd have won about 8.

It's all because of him going to the Cangels and not living up to the contract.

He was lauded hard in St Louis, I mean they loved that guy and he could have become a better Cardinal than Musial, who is probably the most underrated player in the history of the game.

Oddly enough, Aaron is extremely underrated as well, all anyone knows him for is the Home Run record, even though statistically he's a top 5 player of all time, no one ever brings him up in the conversation most of the time.

The 95 loss to Orlando doesn't count for me because he barely even played bball that year and came back wearing #45.

Not 1 game 7 in all 6 NBA Final victories.
