Of course he would after the fact, why is his client seeking Ware money then?

he made around 17M last season. he of course would be looking for an 8-figure a year payday so 10+M would be his expected number and he was looking for that long before Ware was released

So u believe if Ware had never hit the market, the Broncos would have not been willing to give Allen that contract? He was their top target before Ware became available...

I think I agree with Allens agent. If he was given that offer he'd be a bronco.

Broncos never offered Jared Allen a 3-year, $30 million deal - Pro Football Zone

After Ware signed his three-year, $30 million deal with the Broncos on Wednesday, Rapoport reported that Denver initially had the exact same offer on the table for Allen, according to a source informed of the team's situation.

Allen would have taken that deal, too, but Rapoport was told the Broncos made him wait as they huddled with Ware. Tough pill to swallow, as it won't be easy for Allen to land that kind of money elsewhere.

I put faith in either, I talk it all with a grain of salt...... My point is that has not intention taking any shorts especially from a non contender.........

So in the last two hours we have found out that we still don't know what Allens best offer was. Personally I think teams are greatly low balling him. The longer this draws out the lower his leverage becomes. I don't even know if he has anymore leverage. That's why I think he'd be better off waiting for a team who becomes desperate in season. Either that or accept the best offer currently on the table with a contender. If he decides to wait he may get an offer in preseason. There's always plenty of injuries in training camp.

I am more interested in Shaun Phillips at this point

I don't want either of them unless they want a one year deal of Vet minimum

Phillps is 32 now No way he should get a multi year deal
and Spencer has the injury thing... PLUS He only had one good year.

A one year deal is a given, but Phillips had a productive year double digit sacks I believe. He will warrant a little more than the vet minium now Spencer on the other hand shouldn't get a penny more....

yeah but Phillips also had the benefit of playing on a team that was setting all kind of records on offense.

So that defense pretty much played all year with their ears tucked back in pure pass rush mode.

9 years in the league ... He has only had double digit sacks 3 times. Never had 12 in a season ( last year 10)

and never had back to back double digit sack seasons.... was 2 years between the last time and was 3 years between that time before that

we got 9 from Selvie at 700,000

He also played almost half the season without Von Miller & I dare to say he is better than Selvie, so I think you could pencil him in for double digit sacks in Marinielle systems. I am not saying pay him much more than the Vet minimum. He would also be better than Ayers who came from that same Broncos defense.

I think he knows he will not get a huge payday. I think 1yr for $2.5 - 3 mil would be fair for a legtimate pass rusher

Damn you trying to get him for a "geek monster" price. I think it would at least take 5-6 mil for him to even consider playing for the Cowboys.
