If that report's true, then good luck with that. The guy is 6'6'', 282, and 34. At least when Houston tried this with Mario Williams, he wasn't in his mid thirties. Maybe the guy can rush the passer from OLB, but I'd like to see him covering backs and LB's in coverage when the offenses target him.

I agree they overpaid, especially if he cannot cover TE's and RB's. He may just be on the field for passing downs. He may be a very expensive part time player.

I'm glad we didn't take Peppers & we bit the bullet on Ware.

Although if Denver can afford it, the Ware contract while a lot of money is a worthy gamble for Denver to see if he is healthy. Seems like Ware will get paid those two years & there wont be any dead money, so if it doesn't pan out, no harm no foul. (again assuming they had the cap to play with)

Don't know anything about the Peppers deal, but I didn't want him here, even with no #'s being attached to the scenario.

Teams that paid big bucks to Hatcher and Ware should look at ahow bad the Cowboys defense has been over the past two seasons. Hatcher had a good year last season and there were still several games where he disappeared. Ware is an injury waiting to happen and has been invisible with the exception of a few games. We may look back in three years and say we were glad that we never got Peppers or melton. I personally hope we win 4 games for ththe next few years and build up the young talent going forward. 8-8 seasons are not acceptable in two ways: never quite good enough to make the playoffs or bad enough to draft elite caliber players.
