oh..my answer was because of Shreveport and Lake Charles being in the politicians pockets here in Tejas

They have a tie in with the Independence Bowl in Shreveport Louisiana. You’ll love it!
I’m so jealous of the lucky fan base that gets to go.

And a prestigious bowl it is! The winner of the bowl game will be in great company with the winner of the 1976 game.
The Pac 12 will be proud.
Also, one particular game probably got Nick Saban interested in coaching at LSU. All kinda good shit comes from the Independence Bowl.
