I'd be stunned if Tedenby was called up, unless someone from the top 2 lines goes down. He really hasn't earned the spot yet, but give him time. He's still only what, 21?

Lou thinks that Zid is a top 2 dman, and he said in the interviews yesterday that he even tried to trade for him previously when he was still with Nash. If he can produce at a pro-rated 40-45pt pace, he'll be awesome. Also, a week ago we were debating if Foster should be dressed in a 4th line forward spot come playoff time and only let him play on the PP. Zid is at a minimum a big upgrade over foster, and at a maximum could be a potential Rafalski type PP QB (which he has clearly been in the past before Mike Yeo this season. )

What scared me with Zid is the $4M next year in light of Parise and the Devil's supposed money problems. The rest of it I can judge once we see what he does down the stretch this year.

When he is doing his thing it adds a whole other element to the offense. He just needs to cut down on the times he's caught pinching or flat footed at the opposing blue line. With that said, I think one of the main differences between this year's team and prior years is the ability to create chances from the point. We have 4 guys back there that all handle the puck very well, shoot when needed or find the open guys.
