Zidlicky should be an upgrade over foster and we basically had to give nothing up for him besides a defensive blackhole (not saying Zidlicky should be much better on d),and someone who is at least similar offensively most likely better.

That's A LOT of players, BUT Zidlicky is supposed to be a powerplay machine just not under Minnesota's current coach.

So realistically since Zidlicky would absolutely be replacing Foster's spot, we traded Palmieri and a 2nd. That's not terrible. And there's another year left, so it's not like he's a rental.

I agree I'm going to wait this trade out before i have an opinion.But after looking up some clips he definately has an offensive skill set we do not yet have on defense and the potential to make an impact on this team.He may also be an asset in grooming Larsson as well.I do like his stick work and puck control and he seems to be able to finish as well.Patty and Sykora must be thrilled

My gut is telling me I cant believe we gave up 2 players, a second pick and a 2013 conditional pick for a 35 year old defenseman... just seems like alot... hope he is worth it... we will see come playoff time... I guess our trading is done for this year....
