The Sagarin ratings....note that for the first time ever, Sagarin has split the divisions into separate listings.

1 SEC-WEST (A) = 82.28
2 PAC-12(NORTH) (A) = 81.26
3 SEC-EAST (A) = 79.15
4 PAC-12(SOUTH) (A) = 79.08
5 BIG 12 (A) = 78.13
6 BIG TEN-LEADERS (A) = 76.03
7 BIG TEN-LEGENDS (A) = 75.87
8 ACC-ATLANTIC (A) = 75.43
9 ACC-COASTAL (A) = 73.22
10 AMERICAN ATHLETIC (A) = 67.91
11 MWC-MOUNTAIN (A) = 67.35
12 I-A INDEPENDENTS (A) = 63.77
13 MWC-WEST (A) = 63.27
14 CONFERENCE USA-WEST (A) = 61.29
15 CONFERENCE USA-EAST (A) = 60.74
16 MAC-WEST (A) = 60.63
17 SUN BELT (A) = 60.00
18 MAC-EAST (A) = 59.72

I am surprised the ACC is not getting more respect. I think from top to bottom the ACC is comparable with the B1G...maybe slightly better. But I'd take the ACC or B1G over the Big 12 easily. I have a hard time ranking the Big12 teams because there are at least 5 bad teams. Virginia is probably one of the worst ACC teams, yet they beat the BYU team that blew the doors off Texas....and Texas is still probably no worse than 6th in the Big12. Maryland held WVU to 6 total first downs in their 37-0 blowout win the week before WVU knocked off Okie State.

ACC vs. Big 12
Clemson vs. Oklahoma (ACC)
Florida State vs. Baylor (ACC)
Miami vs. Oklahoma State (ACC)
Virginia Tech vs. Texas Tech (ACC)
Maryland vs. TCU (push)
Georgia Tech vs. Texas (ACC)
NC State vs. West Virginia (ACC)
Pittsburgh vs. Kansas State (ACC)
North Carolina vs. Iowa State (ACC)
Virginia vs. Kansas (ACC)

Those points ratings are a croc. :lame:

Please.

Since I've corrected things around here, it's on to the next thread. Good night.

What if you do it bottom to top instead?

Or we could just take out the teams in the middle of the ACC.
You'd be left with
FSU - OU
Clemson - Baylor
Miami - Oklahoma State
VT - Texas Tech
Maryland - TCU
Duke - Texas
North Carolina - West Virginia
Virginia - Kansas State
Boston College - Iowa State
Wake Forest - Kansas

I have

SEC
PAC
ACC
Big12
B1G

Gotcha, I was just looking at what the article had.

I would have...
SEC
PAC
ACC / B1G
Big 12

I think the B1G is stronger than they're perceived

Looking at the Sagarin "overall" rankings which average the elo-chess and predictor scores

(ACC)
5 Florida State A = 88.76
12 Clemson A = 86.23
20 Maryland A = 82.30
22 Miami-Florida A = 81.65
24 Virginia Tech A = 80.41
34 Georgia Tech A = 77.88
60 Syracuse A = 72.28
63 Pittsburgh A = 71.69
69 NC State A = 70.40
75 North Carolina A = 68.53
76 Boston College A = 68.41
78 Virginia A = 67.71
79 Duke A = 67.65
104 Wake Forest A = 61.58

(B1G)
13 Ohio State A = 85.71
15 Wisconsin A = 84.25
31 Penn State A = 78.34
36 Iowa A = 77.64
39 Northwestern A = 76.89
40 Michigan A = 76.64
41 Michigan State A = 76.49
47 Nebraska A = 75.21
54 Illinois A = 73.72
64 Indiana A = 71.04
72 Minnesota A = 69.23
119 Purdue A = 59.87

At the top end, the ACC is actually currently rated better. Both FSU and Clemson are ranked above Ohio State. We have more teams in the top 25 too. It's just the bottom half ACC teams that are kinda meh. 8 out of the 14 ACC teams are ranked #60 or worse, vs 3 out of 12 for the B1G.

(B12)

3 Baylor A = 89.46
4 Oklahoma A = 88.96
19 Texas Tech A = 83.20
21 Oklahoma State A = 82.03
30 TCU A = 78.65
44 Texas A = 75.88
45 Kansas State A = 75.74
57 West Virginia A = 72.93
65 Iowa State A = 70.97
99 Kansas A = 62.42

Vs the B12.....their top end is currently ranked better than ours. they have 4/10 teams in the top 25 vs 5/14 for us.
They have 2/10 teams ranked worse than 60 vs our 8/14 teams.

Even with all of that a generic randomly selected B12 team would only be about a 4 point favorite vs a generic randomly selected ACC team on a neutral field. And these ratings are not set in stone. If we the ACC can win some quality non conference games, we'll bump up. There is still an awful lot of football left to be played.

Awesome.

The SEC is the best conference in college football.

What part of the "restivus" do you need to drill into our head that you are the best.

By the way, what Conference Championships and Natty's have you won to talk shit OP? Or are you riding on coat tails as usual....?
