Then it says that the Big 12 losing to FCS teams is not bad.

But that the B1G lost to undefeated, BCS, playing Northern Illinois and that Penn State lost to UCF. The same UCF team that barely lost to the SEC South Carolina team.

Those are mathematical numbers, it is not an opinion. You can argue that the formula is wrong or that the numbers are unreliable, because it is too early. I dont think it matters much, I think the Big 10 and Big 12 both suck this yr

Big 12? Really? The Big 12 is the worst of the AQ conferences.

The Big 12 is 1-4 versus the SEC, B1G, and ACC and lost to two FCS teams.

The Big 12s best team, Oklahoma beat Notre Dame. The B1Gs second or third best team, Michigan, beat Notre Dame.

Big 12 is way over-rated in that assessment.

SEC
PAC 12
ACC 3-6 vs AQ conferences
B1G 5-4 vs AQ conferences no FCS losses
Big 12 1-4 vs AQ conferences, two FCS losses

Not sure my statement was claiming anything there Sparky, other than texico sucking hind titty. Simmer down.

My only concern with ranking the conferences is what does it matter when a team does not play the tougher teams in their conf?

The article I posted used F+ ratings, which have a strength of schedule component. This simply uses the F+ rankigns of the each individual member of the conference and derives an average from that.

I'm not too sure the B1G is as bad as everyone thinks...Ohio State is in a different class, then you have Wisonsin, NW and UM, after that you have Nebbie, MSU....sleepers are Iowa and Illinois and then youve got trash with Indiana, Purdue and MinnesotA (left out PSU because they cant play in a bowl)....if one of the two sleepers comes to fruition and Wisconsin, Michigan, NW do their thing and Nebraska pulls their head out their ass they have the ability to have a pretty good bowl season....i think the B1G is better than last year

Obviously in the above scenario there are some what ifs but I think the B1G will have 6-7 decent teams come year end

Just where in my post did I point at anyone? Did I quote someone? Nope.

I wasn't pointing at anyone other than the CBS Sports, Chip Patterson, that put out the drivel.

The writer has to be a Big 12 fan. Which is great, but to say that the Big 12s best win is Notre Dame, well then, what about Michigan's win over Notre Dame? He even says that Oklahoma's win over Notre Dame gave the entire conference a bump. Huh?

Heck, Notre Dame is so great they have a win over 0-4 Temple(they lost to FORDHAM), 1-3 Purdue(all AQ schools have had their way with Purdue), and the completely offenseless Michigan State Spartans.

To say that losing to FCS schools is not bad, FCS SCHOOLS!!!!, but losing to an undefeated Northern Illinois, a team that played in the BCS Bowl game, a team with a Heisman Trophy candidate(albeit fat chance) and lost to a UCF school that played SEC South Carolina tough(SEC!!!!!!!), the writer is completely off his rocker with his assessment skills.

Yeah, but I don't even think Ohio st. is in a class of their own in that conference. Gave up 20 points to Buffalo, 34 points to Cal, only beat Wisconsin by 7. Disregard the other stuff, and a 7 point win doesn't separate them much from a Wisky team that lost to ASU. I know the sun devils are a good team this year though.

I wouldn't be shocked if tOSU lost to Northwestern this weekend.

3. B12 78.13
4. B1G 75.95
5. ACC 74.325
6. AAC 67.91

Did you actually watch any of those games or are you just going by the scoreboard? Ohio State was scoring nearly 50 in those games with a backup QB and backup RB. Offensively, they are definitely in a different league than any other B1G team outside of possibly NW.

I'm surprised at the Pac south rating but stranger things have happened.

- I wonder where the I-A Independents would be without ND.

So all the usually stronger conferences are a little weaker and all the usually weaker conferences are a little stronger. Can't they all just be similar?
