No, I think this thread is saying that TCU should have had a bye for the first round and headed straight to the title game based on their performance playing against a weakened Ole Miss in a game that hadn't been played when the committee had to make a decision.

If a Big 12 team deserves the #4 spot over Ohio State, it would be Baylor. It came down to TCU and Baylor with Baylor winning the head-to-head matchup.

Now, if Michigan State beats Baylor, what will be your argument. Ohio State can say "Ohio State > Michigan State > Baylor > TCU"

Guarantee you that if Baylor had been ranked ahead of TCU, the commissioner wouldn't have tried to screw over Baylor with that "shared title" bullshit. After all the commercials I saw during every Big 12 game about how they have "one true champion" because everyone plays everyone, the commissioner tries to fuck over Baylor to get TCU in.

No it won't...but when you strip away the conference champion qualifier, in the majority of people's eyes TCU was a better team than tOSU.

Both had a loss, TCU's was to a much better foe.

Had a common opponent, TCU beat them much better.

SOS wasn't that different.

So stripping away the CC, which is the primary reason most here are arguing that TCU shouldn't be included, we can all see that TCU was the better team overall.

I was for certain that the committee was to pick the best 4 teams as the first measure of criteria...regardless of conference championships. There may be years where one conference (or more) as a whole really fucking stinks. This was first perceived to be teh SEC's golden ticket to getting multiple teams in....remember?

TV sets determined the 4th slot this year. Nothing more, nothing less.

2. The Big 12 commissioner tried to pull a ridiculous stunt that even Big 12 people hated.
3. Ohio State is huge $$$$$ draw.
4. TCU has about four total fans in all its history. And those 4 dudes don't spend money like OSU.


TCU can shut the hell up.


Only Baylor has any sort of gripe if they throttle Michigan State.
