But it does matter which one. At least as far as I can tell, OSU is the only one that would make a difference. Maybe FSU, but they're undefeated and I can't see them getting left out. If Oregon or Alabama got blown out, would people really claim to think they shouldn't have been there in the first place?

ok... let's say Bama loses..... how did they get in? they had Ole Miss as a "quality loss", and look what TCU is doing to them right now.... you could make a legitimate case that TCU should have gotten in over Bama at that point

TCU got passed over because they were not a blue blood program, ITS THAT SIMPLE.

If TCU was OU or Texas, we wouldn't be having this convo. The committee took the name brand and the money.

The excate same thing would have happen to both OU, and Texas. Ohio St. totally took the decision out of the committee's hands after they slaughtered the #13 team in the country 59-0. That closing statement made it impossible to leave Ohio St. out of the playoff.

By choosing OSU at #4, the committee "guaranteed" a Oregon vs. Bama matchup...something that has been wanted by a lot of fans for years.

IF the committee had taken a TCU or Baylor ahead of OSU there would have been no guarantee.
