I'd like to think it would be less of a shit show with the Dems in charge. When does the mass deportation of immigrants start? Does it matter if they are here legally? How many lives will be lost when doctors are prohibited from performing abortions because they might be arrested? Can't wait until RFK Jr. bans all vaccines and things like measles and polio become commonplace again.

So many people are going to needlessly die.

And it's the Democrats' fault. What a failure of an institution they are. Too reluctant to use their power to do good, and too meek about claiming victory for what good they do. They're spineless, they're embarrassments, and they got what they deserved in this election.

But the most vulnerable people in this country don't deserve their fate, and this sucks.

Which thread do we use to just vent about personal stuff, by the way? I forgot, it's been a while.

Ah, yeah. I guess I figured that was just for pet-peeves, not for big personal challenges that aren't really anyone's fault.

The Bullshitting at the Barbershop thread is also used to air personal challenges. We're not too picky about those kind of things 'round these parts.

Then this shit show continues. This isn’t surprising at all. Dems have lost their way.
Do you really think Bernie could win the general election? I really liked him (still do but too old) but don't think there's anyway he'd win.

Hes a democratic socialist who often praises European socialism, again which I like. However the Republicans have spent 50 years and countless millions equating any type of socialism with communism and it's mostly worked.

I get you like him, and want the perfect candidate but there's no real reason to think he'd do any better than Hillary or Kamala*.

*unless you perhaps factor in the misogynist vote, but fuck that

The Barbershop thread works too, but you need an invite before you can post there.

I saw this earlier and I actually felt anger at it

What are they actually going to do?
Nothing
What can try effectively do to help
Nothing
A lot of white women made this happen
They did this to themselves

This type of.video makes me think they are only going for hits and views .. I KNOW it's positive... But I'm really truly lost right now

I hate late night shows for mocking Trump still
THIS FUCKING GUY BEAT YOU ALL STOP FUCKING MOCKING HIM IT MAKES HIM STRONGER

I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE ON TWITTER

I feel rage at every FUCKING thing right now

I fucking hate that I'm feeling this powerless

No I don’t think he’d win, unfortunately. That doesn’t mean what he said isn’t true. The Democrats have ditched the working class, it started with Bill Clinton. You can only run on things and promise them, and then ditch them once elected in favor of elitism and corporatism, for so long.

Trump markets his bullshit better than the Left does. That is why he siphoned working class votes. (in addition to the general voter just not being all that smart with how politics actually works)

I dont think they have ditched the working class, reaching them might be another thing. There were numerous things in Harris' platform that would have benefited the working class far more than anything in Trump's "platform". Then on the other side you have a man from New York living in a gold penthouse who has 50 years in the public eye not paying his workerss or putting down the working class - whose message of anger and hate resonated with a lot of the working class. I am not sure that is the democrat's fault.

At the end of the day and after a long campaign of little more than bigotry and hate, Trump got enough votes that its obvious a lot of Americans bought into that. The democrats pointed that out thinking it would upset people and sway voters back, it didn't. I am not sure that's the democrat's fault either.

I like Bernie and love his policies and would love to implement some, but I think its disingenuous of him to suggest going further left is the answer. It's just not electable and he knows that.
