Mary Kay Cabot: As reported in Wed's PD, Chip Kelly has v. strong ties to #Browns personnel candidate Mike Lombardi from mutual close pal Belichick.

No TV personality that I've seen has pushed for Chip Kelly to get a head coaching job harder than Michael Lombardi either.

So 45 minutes into SportsCenter and no mention of the Chip Kelly news. Once it comes in will they take credit for breaking the story like they so often do?

Shawn Zobel:

As I had previously mentioned, heard retired Nevada HC Chris Ault could be a coach on Kelly's staff. I'd assume OC or QB coach.

I'll believe this Lombardi talk when I see it. Maybe I just have something irrational against the guy, but he seems to me to be a huge self-promoter and name-dropper, and I always picture him floating his own name in the media for these open jobs. Have never really been impressed with his analysis.

Jason La Canfora:

If the Eagles lose to Browns on Kelly - and remember he left Tampa at the alter a year ago - expect to hear PHI never that high on him ...

but they reality is they've been staking him out in Arizona and definitely in on this thing.

I hope the Browns go winless next year and Chip Kelly is exposed as the product of a system. He won't work in the NFL. Can't the Browns see that?

G.M. dominoes could start falling soon | ProFootballTalk

Here’s the quick summary, as it’s currently making the rounds in league circles.

1. The Jets are expected to hire 49ers exec Tom Gamble (pictured).

2. The Jaguars are expected to hire Falcons director of player personnel Dave Caldwell.

3. The Chiefs are expected to hire Packers director of operations John Dorsey.

4. The Cardinals are expected to promote Steve Keim.

5. The Panthers are believed to be leaning toward Giants executive Dave Gettleman.

None of these moves are, you know, 95-percent certain. It’s simply where it all is leaning.

So Gamble, Ryan, and possibly Norv Turner in NY? That'd be one of my favorite setups in the entire NFL. Ahhhh! I DON'T want the Cardinals to get Keim either. And John Dorsey is very solid, too.
