I believe Vick said that he wasn't going to adjust his contract.

He could use the new coach as a reason to buy in and do so. I think it was also in his best interest to say no first. He can always change his mind if he does it early enough. Or like someone else said, they'll cut him and where will he go? Maybe back to the Eagles for less, obviously. If what people are saying is true, Chip Kelly's system may be mutually beneficial for the two.

Rich Cimini:

Jets GM update: Angelo fading. Barring a curve ball, it looks like Idzik (2nd interview today), Khan and Cohen. My money is on Idzik.

Crap! I'd strongly dislike this as he is one of my only favorites that's left.

Arians now has inside track in Arizona | ProFootballTalk

Why don't they just do it already? I don't see the reason. Maybe it takes two to tango and Arians really wanted the San Diego job. Or it could be like the Jets GM job, enough problems that you'd have to have more assurances to take it. Those will come, right?

On NFL Network, Ian Rapoport just said that Lovie Smith will likely sit out the year and keep taking the Bears' money instead of taking a coordinator job. With the hopes of drawing interest as a HC next year.

John Clayton is reporting that Bruce Arians told the Bears in his interview that he wanted to bring Russ Grimm and Ken Whisenhunt with him, so obviously if he's set hard on adding those guys if he's hired, that could pose a problem for the Cardinals since they just got rid of Whisenhunt.

Hmmm... The Chicago Bears' OL needs to be fixed... The Cardinals have the same OL problem under Whiz and Grimm... Cutler must be dreading this

With Bruce Arians set to interview in AZ, sounds like Cards are more willing to listen on staff. Arians has structured idea of what he wants

Interesting he would say that, because most coaches would throw the university a bone by saying that he always intended to stay and loved Oregon, but this was too good of a shot to turn down or one thing lead to another and gained some steam. Some even say that it comes down to what's best for their family (even though they are paid a lot in college). I hear the family one more when they stay, saying they didn't want to uproot their family. Not sure what kind of family Chip has, young or old, but I assume he has one who is happy for him.
