I mean there are teams that make it to the super bowl and are completely overwhelmed, so in that regard I do see the argument. But the Seahawks were good enough to win XLIX (and IMO should have won it) and that's what makes it sting.

I would say that, "Ignorance is bliss" but my guess is that's not the case here...

Steve Young and Phillip Rivers seem to have done alright for themselves...

Before Russell came along, Steve Young was my all time fave QB to watch. I absolutely loved how he played the position.

If that is true to this day (which you have no idea if is or not), that matters, why?

Me too... He was fun to watch... It was easy to see why the 49ers had moved on to Young from Montana when they did...

Well, Nuggles should be the most blissful one here.

There have been a lot of successful Mormons in the NFL. Merlin Olson, Haloti Ngata, Andy Reid, Eric Weddle and more. Just dumb of him to claim that one's religion dictates whether he will be successful or not.

Let’s drop speaking on religion on a sports board. Has no place here.

I don’t see it as a discussion about religion, but a discussion about bigotry.

Never the less, no need for it on a sports board.
