All is well. No soreness or discomfort. I expected mass confusion at the vaccine site they set up but it was nice and easy.

My wife works in health care and got hers on Sunday as well. She was also very impressed with how it was set up. I'm sure this is going to vary form state-to-state and locality-to-locality though.

just today I got a letter from my kid's school saying sports is back on.
it is just within the school, and you can only do one sport at a time, but still.... seems like opening more contact groups up not the best idea?

It's like they keep looking east and saying "Hah, that can't happen here!" and then do everything they can to try and make it happen here.

Ontario and Quebec schools are probably shuttered for the rest of the year. Not sure why BC would want to join that party.

I think the fact that there was nobody else in the immediate family that could look after his parents qualifies in my mind as essential travel, so I don't have an issue with it. It's good to hear that he did the appropriate quarantine period as well.
