Does that mean you don't want to answer the question? You're a stupid fan because you asked how rare is it that there are no Yanks or Red Sox in the ASG. That's a fucking retarded question on many levels.

Ooh, hi there new personage
Do you like Gin drinks???
I quit drinking in 79, but don't let me stop you from having a swell time.
yup, theyve been as good if not better.Off the top of my head, I know Odorizzi and Verlander. That's without even looking it up.
Just checked. He made 7 starts last year after the all star game.
My memory served well.
Agreed. But damaged goods is what Boston seems to have gotten.
Not supposed to drink by one's self...that would be wrong
You keep throwing statements like this around.
If you were actually trying to be statistical, why wouldn't you throw out his 4 best starts as well, since you are throwing out his 4 worst ones?
Which begs the question. Are you actually trying to understand the truth or are you just looking for a way to make Chris Sale look as good as you can?
Prolly won't be an All Star.He ain’t starting the All Star game
you don't think ty is from zig's house of blow and hookers?
Speed, movement and location are the three big skills for a quality pitcher. You can sacrifice one of them and still be successful in the majors. Inducing ground balls or pop-ups is just as efficient as a strikeout, and has the pleasant side effect of taking less pitches on the way to an out.k's eliminate virtually any way of a guy reaching base. k's are a 2 person function if you want to be technical, but the onus lies on the pitcher to maintain trajectory and repeatability in delivery.
I agree. The Nats' pitcher, Anibal Sanchez was getting outs on 1-4 pitches for every batters last night. Consequently, he had something like 69 pitches thrown through 6 innings. He could've gone even longer, but the Nats were destroying Chicago, and Martinez had the option to exercise the bullpen. That's a good point. You have to think of things from a perspective of Chris Woodward last night. Sale was doing him a favor every time he ran up a long pitch count to get a strikeout. As a result, Sale left 6 outs on the board that the Rangers could use to get to that awful Boston bullpen. And the Rangers did just that.
it's certainly a tough-luck way to lose a game. But Sale didn't give his team enough to win the game.
Who cares, he doesn't drink Gin...which is, like, the unpardonable offense, or something

good lord. the other board i was posting at. unreal. "we pay sale to win games". over and over. i show stats, Babip, BAA, etc....nothing but shit.
its why im back here. sales probably the hardest luck starter in MLB. i think they dont even give him 3 runs a game of support.

Strikeouts! The pitcher equivalent of shiny objects for stupid fans. May as well; home runs and strikeouts are all the dumb fans care about.
Also, how rare is it that a Red Sox or Yankee isn’t in the AS Game? Complete popularity contest and nothing else.

sales last 10 again for comparison:
2.17 ERA
.162 BAA
.535 OPS against
68% for strikes
66 IP
38 hits
106 k's
odorizzis IP stink in comparison (59 over his last 10) and only has 63 k's (40 fewer than sale), but a 1.07 ERA, a higher .199 BAA, and a lower 66% for strikes. .513 OPS against.
verlanders last 10 he has 70.2 IP, 80 k's, and a 1.91 ERA vs sales 2.17. .131 BAA, 69% for strikes, and a .469 OPS against. verlander has also given up a whopping 10 HR in his last 10.
so sales got the advantage in k's by a lot. OPS against is verlanders by a good margin and BAA by a bit. ERA goes to odorizzi, but the rest of his peripherals dont match sales or verlanders.
so yes, one could argue sales been one of the best pitchers in MLB over his last 10.
well.....yea ok I guessDo I get to keep it?
