Let me preface this post by saying this season, no matter what happens this week; or the next five, has been an absolute success coming off a 2-14 season with a roster wasting talent; they even had a #1 pick to show for their ineptitude.

The Chiefs, as we all know, are coming off a 2-14 season, the Colts also came off a 2-14 season and a #1 pick two years ago; they made the playoffs after that season as will the Chiefs. Both had COY candidates, both have former #1 picks at QB (Yes, Alex Smith once upon a time was a #1 pick of the 49ers) and have had success with them. Both franchises are trending up and have plenty to look forward too. To be blunt, these are oddly similar clubs with similar goals on game-day each week.

Personally, I think this should be a close game. It should be particularly interesting now that the roster appears to be healthy to see what is up their sleeve in a playoff game. Unusual things happen of course and blowouts happen both ways (take the last meeting for example) but I sincerely doubt that will be the case. I am going to roll with the Chiefs and avoid the NFL record for playoff futility in consecutive playoff games as I just think we have too many passrushers that can get to Luck now that Houston is back. And yes, he is a big impact player, and arguably the best player on the defense. 24-20 Chiefs.

I semi-jokingly blamed the 2-5* record after the bye on those saying they'd still be happy if the team lost their remaining games after their 9th win. So, I semi-jokingly am putting this on you if they lose.

* San Diego didn't win.

Hehe, fair enough. Can't say I expected to have the proverbial knife stuck in the back at the very end of each game against SD. Defeat rescued from the Jaws of Victory.

This is what I hope happens on Saturday; except the OSU truck is the SB, and Oregon car is the Chiefs.

Haha, Andy Reid lied! Oh noes! But seriously, I wouldn't be surprised given how blah that game seemed at times. But wow, I am not going to give credit until I see it on Saturday.

Is it crazy how in just a 36 hours millions of fans will either be really excited, really disappointed, in a fig about what just happened, resigned, upset at the refs, coaches, or players, or defending the refs. Sports are so emotional for some and so focused on winning and losing and extremes. It hits every true fan on both sides.

Think about the scope of where you could "be" in 8-9 hours.

Would love to see KC break the curse and avoid an NFL record 8 straight playoff losses over a span of 21 years.

This is just par for the course historically. Choke against the Colts... what else is new.

Well, Sutton clearly doesn't adjust very well. This is getting comical how erratic the defense has become with 3 all pros.... Oh, and there is Houston, too. This nonsense happens again next year with the defense, I am not going to be pleased to see Sutton back. Granted, Robinson and Lewis shouldn't be playing anywhere, but Flowers, Cooper, and Berry should be a decent if not above average core for a secondary. There is no excuse for this kind of floppery at this point.

Tough loss for you guys today, losing so many key players and barely losing to Indy at their place. Nice season for KC, though I'm sure you're disappointed about today's game. Your team should be formidable again next season.
