Okay, but LSU also beat Bama, why conveniently leave them out? Auburn simply has a MUCH better resume than USC does. Auburn doesn't have the bad losses to teams like UW and BYU on the resume. Not that those teams are necessarily bad, but Auburn lost to #1, #4 and #11. BYU and UW aren't ranked with good reason.
But Alabama sux
Haven't you heard? That's what all the LAU fans say. Garbage schedule and all!

They looked like shit against Kentucky if you watched any of that game.

It was played in a tropical storm with cold temps, pouring rain and swirling wind.

And they pitched a shutout and won easily.

Derpa derpa derpa, SEC bad, wah.

Go suck your mama's tit and learn a new song, titty baby.

Rain ain't an issue, but when you mix in swirling winds, it is, and we won easily too, and pitched a shutout in the process.

Why do I have to explain why teams ranked #11 and #15 are better than teams ranked #23 and unranked? I'm not assuming anything. There isn't any metric that would suggest USC and whatever would be Oregon's next best win to be better than that of Auburn and UF.
Because these rankings are just opinion. You understand this, right?

No different than how they determine it in basketball. The more good wins you have the more deserving you are. Also Utah has no good wins. They are 0-1 against ranked teams. Hell for all we know they'd have 4 losses already with Georgia's schedule.
Did "good wins" help OSU out the last 2 seasons or was it "the bad loss" then that got them?

The good wins by Oklahoma State were ignored a while back in favor of their bad loss to allow Bama their rematch against LSU.

I seem to remember an Ohio State team with a bad loss that was taken over one loss teams with better losses. Don't call the kettle black, pot.
When was this? If it was 2014, it was also because OSU had better wins.

Because someone wants a Sugar Bowl with Bama and Oklahoma/Hurts badly? Yea, lack of Tua hurts that story a little but, still probably big money.

Alabama and Oklahoma could play two high school freshman selected at random at quarterback and it would still probably be big money.

Yeah and Oregon looked like shit a week later against Wazzu. Oregon hasn't exactly been blowing teams out either.

That good win against Oklahoma got y'all in the playoffs in 2016.

Getting blown out by Iowa and Purdue is what kept y'all out the last two years. If those games are flukey games, y'all would have been in.

If you don't see a difference between losing a game to an unranked team in double overtime vs losing to one by 30 points then I'm sorry, your just not on the same cognitive level as the rest of us.

agreed.....more reason for you to maybe admit we don't have the first clue who the best teams are....especially in what looks like who deserves the #4 spot assuming OSU, LSU or UGA and Clemson hold serve.

You really think because the opinion of others having a team at 11 or 15 means all that much? These same guys had MSU 18, TAM 12 and Texas 10 in their preseason poll.

They didn't have better regular season wins than Baylor.
They were fairly similar, both TCU and especially Baylor scheduled extremely weak OOC and then there's that pesky notion that OSU played an extra game and won an outright conference title.

So much easier to stop being concerned about who is better and simply favor teams that best accomplish a shared objective.

I do see a difference. In fact, I even said Oklahoma State had the worse loss. The problem was I also mentioned wins and how those were ignored, which was the point.

If you are ever confused again don't hesitate to ask for help little fella.

Yes, based on 83% of the data being completed though. I'm not even saying anything controversial. LSU will have better wins, it's just what it is.

I've been on record that Oklahoma State should have gotten in the title game that year.

As for Ohio State last year, 3 teams were undefeated and OU had better wins IMO. Not sure what the issue was there? Plus OSU had a worse loss?
