This conversation has nothing to do with bottom-feeders. It's comparing the teams that will be going to significant bowls.

Here's the other problem - the Pac 12 probably does have teams on the Vandy/Arkansas level, but someone has to win the games in that conference. When you look at the fact that they only beat the horrible teams OOC and none of the good ones, it lends to the idea that Colorado, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon St. etc would have worse records if they were playing in better conferences.

Any way you cut it, there's no way the Pac12 stands up to the SEC, or really the B1G or Big 12.
. Ummmm no - look who Arkansas has lost to. They are the worst P5 team without question

I dont understand the rankings 5 thru 10. They just dont seen to make any kind of logical sense. Clearly theyre not using resume and it doesnt appear theyre using eye test either

Bama is only there on name alone.

Not really, Colorado went 2-5 in Pac-12 play and beat Nebraska who went 2-5 in B1G play. Not sure why they would do worse in the B1G than they did in the Pac. ASU 2-5 in Pac beat MSU 2-5 in B1G. I really don't see much evidence that the bottom of the Pac would have fared significantly worse in the B1G.

There were, quite literally , more big OOC games the first 3 nights of the CBB season than there was the entire CFB OOC. Thats what happens when the gain from playing the game is more than the loss for losing. People will say " thats what makes CFB great! You have to win!!" but the reality is id rather see great OOC games and reward teams who schedule them as opposed to rewarding a team for going 11-1 while playing nobody
I'm with you. And if they'd play two good OOC opponents like Clemson it'd be better...even though A&M and South Carolina ended up not being as swift as we thought. Wasn't Clemson's fault.

Teams control their entire schedule. Not just OOC.
Do you mean they control it because they choose the conference they want to be in? If not that, just how do they control their conference schedule?

No. Theyre Clemson right now .

Minus a couple of National Championships, one of the best coaches in football and better recruiting classes...and not having beaten a ranked OOC opponent since Florida State in the CFP, yeah, they're exactly the same.

Well none of that is supposed to matter. We both know it does BUT a preseason top 10 Oregon who was unbeaten would, without a doubt, be top 4 right now. We also both know the committee isnt supposed to look at regular polls but theyre also human beings lol

Put a team like Oregon State or UCLA (4-3 in Pac12 play) in the B1G, and they are very likely 2-5 in the B1G. These are not good teams.
