I realize that in most board members eyes, it's too early to think about what CFB players you might be interested in. Next Sunday, Jan. 18th, The Senior Bowl will have it's players arriving in Mobile, Alabama, with the game being played Saturday, Jan. 26th.

^^^^ Yes ! It is that time again, ALREADY.... Player rankings will change drastically as usual, once these games and the combine, pro-day workouts, but at least some board members, who are interested will tune into these games. I know OLD LION keeps up with CFB players throughout the year.

I have a honest question........With the Buckeyes playing the Ducks I noticed something.......Doesn't Ohio give out those fancy stickers for your helmet when you do good things like Score a TD, Throw a TD, solo Tackle, INT, Forced fumble etc etc......I was looking at Cardales helmet and it's covered with those little stickers.......HMMMMM.........How many stickers did he earn this year sitting on then bench?

Any OSU fan want to explain it or is my theory that it would look like shit on TV if he didn't is correct?

No idea how OSU does it, but in my expierience, Pride stickers are given out for in-week and in-game performance. And many of the in-game stickers are team orientated.

My guess, kid worked his tail off on scout teams all year. It would explain why he was able to step in and instantly be a winner.

But like I said, no idea how Urb and Buckeyes do things. Just a guess.

I don't know how you earn that many stickers in 3 weeks with the rest of the team playing all year and are lacking said stickers.

Did it have a gurantee on how stickers were awarded, or an opinion?

On another note, Just heard the Lions are playing the Chiefs in London next year.........Didn't bother to look up which team gets screwed with the home field advantage in that one......I'm cool playing there as long as it's a road game.......

Have a hunch this year were getting fucked.

How drunk are you?

Jones doesn't have half as many stickers as any other players on offense. And we talked about the second round of football across the pond for awhile on here. (Yes, we're the road team.)

I noticed coach_Ed highlited FSU's OT/OG/OC combo Cameron Irving in his "Walter Mock Thread", (like that choice, a lot).

I will extend my early, really early like of LSU OT/OG combo in La"el Collins 6'-4" 325 lb. He's a mauling run blocking, above average pass-pro at the college level. Collins initially started out his college career as a LG (soph year, before moving to LT for the last two years, he nearly declared last year and has improved some since). I don't truly see Collins as an NFL LT (outisde of serviceable should an injury ocurr) but I believe he has the skill-set to be slotted in as a day 1 starting LG. This kid has the potential to become an elite LG, given time and the proper coaching/scheme. He could also be more than serviceable as a RT, IMHO (much better than say a Cherilus type, maybe more). My dig against him is that I think he needs to be covered, as extremely quick speed rushers can beat him outside once in a while. He has violents hands, punch, mirrors well at times but that kick-slide can be a tad slow/elongated. He has that nastiness in him and can get to the second level with relative ease by sheer strength.

Collins could be a huge addition to the O-Line, IMO.

La'el Collins

Production 1 2011: Played seven games (0 starts) as a true freshman 2012: Started all 13 games at LOG 2013:

Played and started 12 games at LOT

Height-Weight-Speed 2 A ROT/OG tweener. Height is slightly below average but well within range for NFL OT. Better than average bulk with broad shoulders and a big bubble.

Outstanding straight-line speed for size. Has massive hands (11'). Also Appears on tape to have long arms, but his 33 ½-inch arm length measurement in spring does not match up.

Durability 2 Did not play versus Furman in 2013 due to a minor undisclosed injury. Led team in 2012 with total snaps played.Intangibles2Is well-respected and liked by teammates and coaches.

A Person of high character who is mature and handles his business. No off-the-field issues. Was raised in a single-parent home by mother Loyetta Collins.
1 = Exceptional..........2 = Above average..........3 = Average.........4 = Below average..........5 = Marginal

Pass Protection 3 Is light on his feet and usually gets set quickly with a solid base under him (only few times where elite speed got him off-balance in set). Shows strong anchor in pass protection. Has strong hands and does a good job of sustaining block once locked out, but needs more aggressiveness at times in pass protection punch.

Gets in trouble when pads rise and he becomes straight-legged. Can be a bit of a waist-bender after initial contact, which leads to him lunging and falling off some blocks.

Run Blocking 1 Has massive frame. Fires off the ball with very good straight-line burst for his size. Has very good lower-body strength and strong hands to drive and steer defenders off the line. Strong drive-blocker that consistently generates movement. Can reach second level easily but is not a natural bender and has a difficult time hitting moving targets.

Awareness 2 Knows his assignments. Has experience at OT and OG. Studies tape and can transfer what he learns to the field. Shows adequate-to-good awareness in pass protection.

Toughness 2 Flashes mean streak and finishes plays through the whistle.
1 = Exceptional...........2 = Above average..........3 = Average...........4 = Below average..........5 = Marginal

Guards don't belong in the first round of the NFL draft. Neither do Kickers, long snappers, return specialist or guys holding clipboards.

your opinion, muzz...

in 2013 two OG were taken in the top 10.... Cooper and Warmack

Decastro was taken at #24 by Pit in 2012.... many in here wanted him... but yeah, you're right, quality guards can be found in any round, right ?

How many WR, CB, T, RB etc etc were taken in round 2 or after that far out perform the 3 you mentioned? Guards a dime a dozen.

Would this board be any better with only facts/statistics? We all look them up......Google allows us to state facts.......5000 yards passing doesn't mean a super bowl run......Stafford proved that......

So let the boards have opinions until were hired by a company to be journalist to report facts.

Media can't even report facts anymore nowadays.....All that is left is opinion. So from this day forth consider everything I say opinion.....Because you can't even trust a stat to be fact today, even those are opinion.....Ever watch a baseball game and the scorerer gives a Hit instead of a error.....That's a freaking opinion.

Guards go in the first round pretty much every year. Zach Martin went in the 1st last year and was an All Pro. The first pick of the 2nd round was also a guard. The year before was Warmack, Cooper and Kyle Long. 2012 was Decastro, like BLUE said already. 2011= Danny Watkins. 2010= Mike Iupati.

The NFL apparently doesn't agree with your statement...

I like TJ Clemmings out of Pitt. What are ESPN insiders stats on him?
