Just read the article on the athletic

I don’t think smarts comments were that bad.

If anything he’s also questioning udoka for being predictable in letting those guys try to play hero ball in the 4th quarter rather than run the regular offense that worked for 3 quarters

It happens to often in the NBA and a big reason why it’s a shit product

Because that's the "NBA"... No one runs plays or plays defense... It's just, "give me the ball and I'll score" and if that person doesn't then said team loses.

Which I hate

Especially if it’s not a beastly center

Honestly I am not a huge fan of the NBA to begin with... This years Cs team certainly isn't helping that either

I'm just here for the shadenfreude after all the shade certain Celtics fans threw at the Sixers for the Simmons debacle.

Speak your mind but talk to the team before all this gets out (if he did good for him). I mean I agree with him, Tatum is chucking up shots right now, he is shooting low %'s. I obviously haven't watched him play as much as y'all but he takes a lot of bad shots instead of moving the ball around. There is a way to go about it, this could either be good for the team or really bad. I guess we will see...

I don’t think this is nearly the same

The Celtics also just aren’t a great team. They were a 4-6 seed before the season started in the best cases. Clearly behind Philly, mil and brook, who all had the talent to win a title

It is frustrating to watch them make the same mistakes 3 years in a row even with a coaching change

I'm just busting chops.

I agree it isn't the same. And the pressures are different for the Sixers and Celtics. The Celtics are facing pressures because their team isn't structured right. It's great that they have 2 amazing swing players but they have huge problems outside of that. The Sixers have a really good team but they have no chance at winning a title unless they can get a good deal with Simmons.

Or get him back in the fold.

I bust chops because they have done literally everything wrong since he asked for a trade

Oh I am not denying racist shit happens in Boston because it does and will sadly continue.. Which sucks and shouldn't happen, especially now a days but people are dumb
Because one thing happens in Boston it gets a hell of a lot more press than anywhere else.

I've only been here in New England since 1950, except for four years in the military, so I haven't been in on everything, but the rest of the country was extremely racist to the Celtics in the 1950's and 60's. No one ever talks about that. Of course California didn't have anything but perverted movie stars back then until the Dodgers moved out of Brooklyn, NY but that's not anything for now. Hotels across the country refused to let Bill Russell have a room.

Boston's racist reputation has very little to do with sports. It has to do with desegregation of schools when busing became a national attention getter. Racist remarks have occurred in every city, but Boston always get lit up. Adam Jones, got called from the stands because he's an ass and got into arguments with fans. Not only in Boston but NY and other cities. An idiot in Boston just let his irritation get out of control and was justifiably banned for life from Fenway.

Has any Boston athlete ever played here for an entire career and then said anything about Boston being a racist town? From my cheap seats, a lot of them stayed here and never miss an opportunity to come back.

I don't condone it, I won't make excuses for it when it happens today. It has no place in society today but racism is also being used as a toll to promote an agenda and that's also wrong.

Sounds like no need to panic if they’re sitting down and dining together to figure things out

Men should be able to be real with each other, speak their minds, and work it out.

Now, let's see some hustle and wins.

C's hold their opponent to 79 pts tonight.

Now, the opponent isn't always gonna be Orlando and the score isn't always gonna be that low... but this is the type of defensive effort the Celtics have to bring on regular basis.

Follow up by holding the Heat to 78 pts a day later.

This is our formula: defense first. Effort first.

The 2-5 start and acrimony is worth it if this team learned a lesson.

Yes it was but I am not going to read much into this win until I see more from this team... They did say the players only meeting had no effect at all so until they "come together" and it shows on the court I am not buying much of anything right now
