Happen to agree, here. Should they have been aggressive going after AD? Sure, but we don;t know that they weren't. We don't know what he offered nor what the Pels wanted.

danny knew ad and kawhi were rentals.

probably should’ve turned the war chest over to move up in the draft once or twice to land his guy

wouldn't that be on them for losing the max players if you are using that as an excuse? And 1 they replaced with Walker which was probably a mistake, right?

who ended up having a fluke career altering knee injury.

shit happens

Yes and no. We have a pretty good idea of what they wanted because of what they took. We also know that Boston could have beaten what the Lakers ended up giving them and they didn't.

But you're right in that we don't know what Boston's actual final offer was or if they pulled out of talks without actually making a final offer.

Agree there, too...but not sure how much of a game changer Hayward was ever gonna be.

he was as good of a player as Paul George. That should give you an idea

Yep...and while we can say should have gone all in it's much harder to do when the player (or his agent) openly states he wont stay there as opposed to LA who had a good idea they could keep him.

sure, if you get AD, win a title and he leaves it can be forgiven but certainly no lock they'd have won a title or even played for one.

Not sure this is making your case (if I understand correctly what your case is). PG hasn't exactly been a gamechanger for anyone.

agree on your draft comments.....but other teams have had their share of injuries -some major- and are still alive.
Which teams are you referring to here?

I do believe the C's missed the most collective time of any team in the NBA this year... and injuries heavily affected Brown, Walker and RWIII in the playoffs... we'll see if your list is comparable.

Walker was never what he was thought to be. Knee or no knee, he plays when he feels like it.

Danny has always been a PG lover and his biggest moves tended to be in that area. Isaiah, Kyrie, Kemba. Hayward was the only real difference.

The Cs need to clean up this roster and bring in a Chauncy Billips to coach and let him be involved in the building of the roster. Get rid of Walker, Smart, Ojeleye, Thompson and Fournier. Bring in a coupler of grizzled veterans who aren't afraid to kick the kids in the ass to motivate them.

The Sixers will take Marcus Smart off your hands for a 2nd round pick. People who don’t get basketball and think that guy is a problem don’t deserve to watch him for their team anymore. That guy can play for me any day. You can keep a roster of Tatum and pussies who pucker in the biggest of moments.

For a second rounder? No way Jose. He's worth more than that to the Celtics.

people who don't follow the Celtics' every day, don't know what they're talking about either. Smart has been suspended for stupidity twice in 2021. His attitude is pretty much that he wants out of Boston. Ainge tried to do whatever he could to appease him. He's not worth the distraction that he keeps causing on the court or the locker room.

I'll take the Tatum and the pussies. The Sixers would too.

Not according to Celtics fans. But you’re right. They would have to match salaries.

Smart had a bad attitude on a team destined to fail? Sounds about right.

I figured out back in 2019 to never listen to any gibberish Big Ken spews. Anyone that says the Browns should have been fined because the Patriots got caught yet again illegally videotaping an opponent has a screw loose.

Celtics are in a tough spot cap/tax wise.
Losing Fournier after paying 4 seconds for him would suck.

but youre in warriors tax territory next year if you pay him this offseason and smart and bob next offseason

here's my list.....Off top of my head Utah has been without Micthell and/or Conley it seems for a good amount of games. Obviously Denver is still without Murray. Indiana has had a number of players out.
