Can't wait to watch this. Thanks for the Team USA roster link Puck.

Canada looks loaded. Hopefully Jack Campbell can pull some more magic out of his arse. I'll miss my boy Danny Kristo. That kid was fun to watch.

are you going to get to watch the tourney filo?
great news if the US stations are jumping on board.

some cuts from canada:
Farhan Lalji
Gauthier-Leduc, Kitchton, Dumba, Reinhart, Ferlund, McNeill, Phillips all cut from Team Canada. Roster at 35.

Hopefully. I'll try and find a pirated website to get a stream of the game. I'm sure I'll be able to find something.

And no, the US will not televise it because my fellow Americans like stupid shit like Basketball and Reality TV shows.

NHL Network has shown it in the U.S. for the last couple of years. I expect them to carry all the USA & Canada games.

Thanks Bolts! I did not know that, lol. I've been watching the last couple years (I think since 09) on my laptop. I get that channel at home too. WJHC is some fun fucking hockey to watch.

I are dumb.

No worries. This tournament has become huge. It gives us a chance to see a lot of future NHLers. So fans of every team will probably have at least one player to keep an eye on.

Two years ago I watched on NHL Network, last year I didn't have it... I'm thinking about re-upping and getting NHLNet again just for this. Unfortunately I think you have to get the super expensive package in order to get NHL.

Filo, Kristo is awesome. He looks like a combination of TJ Oshie, Zach Parise, and Jonathon Toews. Incredibly fun to watch. UND is a lucky fucking school.

I'm glad he made the team, he reminds me a lot of Tyler Ennis (not very big obviously, but speedy, shifty, and smart).

Final 23 man roster attached - Not too many WHLers made the cut.

2012 Team Canada Roster

you would think Don Hay would favour the people that he saw on a regular basis, but it's pretty tough to second guess that team. some serious fire-power there.
was a bit surprised Max Reinhart got cut, but that's about it.

Look at that, Wedgewood on the team. Love to see it.

And as far as visentin goes you look at the tournament and he had one bad period, and a period like that is RARELY just the goalie. That was a team loss all the way.
Outside of that he played well in the tourney. He's taking too much heat

Yeah, unfortunately, that's what happens when Canada loses consecutive gold medal finals (especially the 3rd period collapse against Russia last year).
The goalie takes the brunt of the heat, but there's plenty of criticism to pass around (for example why didn't Cameron call a timeout when Canada was still leading 3-2?)

back to the juniors ... BGallagher describes his morning

Gallagher took nothing for granted when he didn't suit up for the Tuesday night game and admitted he went to bed more than a little anxious.

“As much as people say you're on the team because you didn't play in the game, the coaching staff and the management don't say anything so you still don't know what they're thinking,” Gallagher explained. “You're still just as nervous going to bed.”

The phone did ring in his room at 6 a.m. but it was for his roommate, Phil Di Guiseppe, a forward with the University of Michigan Wolverines.

“I had to give him the phone so it was tough for him,” Gallagher said. “They don't waste any time when they call the room. They mention who they want to talk to so there isn't much time to get nervous. I got up with Phil for about 20 minutes to say goodbye and wish him luck. Then I went back to bed for a couple of more hours until I got my wakeup call.”
