It could just be that I always thought of it that way. But as in so many things in life, my vote doesn't count for much . . .No ... it was '74. Something tells me @Irish7478 would prolly remember this one.

Yeah - that one is hard to forget. Like I said, it was my first football game. I sat in row 13 over in the corner of the Colosseum by the tunnel. The seats were low enough that you couldn't really see the far corner of the field because of the crown down the middle of the field. Also, when that stupid horse came running out in the 3rd quarter, some asshole behind me throw a beer bottle at ol' Tommy Trojan riding on Traveler.I will never, EVER forget that game.
When AD ran that opening 3rd quarter kickoff return back for a TD, I felt something very strange was gonna happen. It did.
Looking it up, Anthony Davis had 2 big games.
1972 was the one where he scored 6 touchdowns and had a 96-yard kick return for TD.
1974 was the one where he scored 26 points. He had a 102-yard kick return for TD.
Too late. they had their chance. But now I have Fr. Ted's signature indicating they missed their chance.I think you can actually get expelled from Notre Dame for speaking his name.
