Jan. 1, 1946 Rose Bowl. Bama 34 USC 14. Bama makes USC's asses quit, take their ball and run home, and tie in with the Big10 for all future Rose Bowls. Probly the single most important day in college football history, shaping the landscape of college football forever.
"This was the last Rose Bowl game played with "at large" teams from outside the Pac-8/Big 10 conferences. These two elite conferences openly admitted restricting the Rose Bowl, because they were tired of getting beaten by teams playing "hillbilly ball". The same reason they cited for not inviting them pre-1920."
That was the first college football game I ever attended live.November 30, 1974 USC vs. Notre Dame - USC overcomes a 24-0 deficit to win 55-24 in the "Anthony Davis Game."
