Yes they did. And I laughed. Nothing against Michigan’s fans, but c’mon.I know, but at the time people said “yeah, but Shaw just took advantage of the foundation Harbaugh built.”
Now most of those people saying that crap will backtrack and claim otherwise, but a sizable group out there said that Harbaugh was better than Urban and Saban.
Make Michigan Basketball great again. I usually like UM hoops teams.Doesn’t help that the football program is no longer a priority in Ann Arbor. The school could not care less about the losses. This ain’t the 80s and 90s anymore.

Don't look now, but here comes the Nebraska distraction.
.
In fairness, it wasn’t just their fans. There were others out there convinced that his success in the NFL proved he was better than Urban and Saban.
If a single stint in the NFL were proof of coaching ability, Belichick is below average. Cleveland, anyone?
(I know, it sounds as ridiculous as it is.)
There is no distraction. I include UM in the same group as Nebraska.
Maybe you have this pipe dream that Nebraska is going to be like the 80’s and 90’s, but wake up. It is a COMPLETELY different game.
It is about speed and who can collect the most talent. Those are the teams who will win or be in the CFP, year in and year out.
Teams like Florida State, Texas, USC, etc. are just a coach away, because they have the talent around them.
Teams like Michigan and Nebraska — do not have that luxury.
And this isn’t meant as a jab at Nebraska, it is meant as a fact about Michigan. The days of competing for a B1G title every year and chance at a national title is in the past. Unless they come up with a way to win more of the battles for game changing recruits — they will co tongue to be what they are. A 2,3 loss team.
And while I’d love to say — just like Pelini— the difference in the two is.......UM plays OSU, MSU, PSU every year. Nebraska doesn’t.
Michigan had exactly what they needed at HC

but got impatient and ran him off thinking they needed another "Michigan man".
Michigan is a good program but they are no longer "elite" and never will be again. A special year here and there yes but the dynasty days are looong gone and aint coming back. RichRod would have won Michigan a BIG title or two by now, heck, his guys even made Brady Hoke look like he knew what he was doing, for a year at least.
Michigan needs to get behind Harbs 100%, go "all in" if you will cause he is the best Michigan can get at the moment.
One dropped pass from sending that game into ot and yet the kerosene at ann arbor burns brighter than ever ....I do feel the pain of spending years looking for a quality qb though but then again I think that is more a coaching problem than talent issue usually. Good college coaches know how to tweak their systems to the abilities of the players they have at any given time
One viewpoint I have being a Michigan fan is that the team isn't a national title contender and hasn't been since the year they had the great close game against the Buckeyes (2006 I think). They were ranked #1 and #2. The Wolverines have had some good seasons.
The other viewpoint I have is at least Michigan hasn't carved the same path as Virginia Tech, Florida State, Southern Cal, and Florida (a few years ago). The path I am referring to is barely above 0.500 and missing bowl games, etc.
Now, I fear the Michigan program going in the direction of the second viewpoint I listed.
I thought RichRod did an excellent job in ann arbor.
Has anyone let us know the question yet?I'll have to know exactly what the question was.
