Well I'm fully vaccinated and I tested positive for Covid yesterday. Had a fever of 101.3 last night. Feel much better today. Was even able to ride the stationery bike in my home for 30min. Worked up a good sweat.

Unvaccinated people can get vaccinated people sick. Truth is from my experience, if you are vaccinated and get it, you should be fine. My fever is gone and now im just pissed I have to sit at home for the next nine days and watch Netflix.

I was not vaccinated and was fine even though I caught it in a third world country, stayed for ten days, developed COVID pneumonia, got MEDEVACed out to the awful US medical system, stayed three days in the hospital, and was fine.

Sounds like they should get the vaccine then, and enjoy everything else their employers are allowing people who followed their rules to do.

Players have a choice: get the vaccine and do whatever you want, or dont get the vaccine and suffer the consequences.

It’s that simple.

Except it still is not FDA approved. I can’t imagine another time that people in the US were forced/tricked into taking experimental drugs…*crickets*

Pretty sure there are news reports out that the vaccines efficacy rate is completely wrong
I'm pretty sure I could out-swim a alligator with a hal;s ass decent head start. Either those reports are out there or their not. And while I have no doubt that there are reports out there of that nature. Who's posting them. A reliable news source with access to legitiimate information or is it mydongishuge5646764332567 from his parents basement after listening to some Alexx Jones knockoff?

It completely depends on which vaccine. Moderna and Pfizer claim 90-95% efficacy. J&J is closer to 60%. Like I said, those are claims.

Sure. Just like saying the rona is no worse than the common cold. Or I can be really careful, stay away from sick people and I won't need to get a vaccination are claims.

If one is stupid enough to believe the anti-vaxxer rhetoric then he probably shouldn’t be voting anyway

Probably the latter but to the anti-vaxxer rube, the source doesn’t matter as long as it supports his agenda

The mask is to keep your droplets in - it's not effective at protecting you, but if you're infected it makes it harder for you to spread it.

now lets address the way this thread is starting to go . voting has no place in this thread , thats politics and it isnt allowed here . alex jones and what news someone watches is politics and it isnt allowed here

i dont want to hear about how you cant bring this subject up without politics because its political BS

you can bring up stats and such and even your POV without political references

i have said a couple of times that we can discuss this with politics in PM's or simply go to the politics board on SportsHoopla

the people who frequent this site voted for no politics to be discussed on this site so lets respect that

i dont what to make this thread un repliable so lets get back on track

the door opens both ways , if it can get in , it can get out
An infected person's droplets get smaller as they evaporate, so they both float in the air and can more easily get through the masks of others. A mask captures droplets as they leave, so most of the virus stays in the mask.

The door opens both ways and 0.9 to 1.9 % is the rated effectiveness based on studies

I had a pretty kick ass case of COVID. I have had far worse colds in terms of how I feel and pain levels. Not all experiences with COVID are the same…as a matter of fact, they are all likely very different. I have t seen anybody in a great deal of pain with COVID, and I have seen a lot of COVID. That doesn’t mean people aren’t in pain though.

I don’t think we need to force vaccinations for COVID. Let people live their lives. Some will get vaccinated and others won’t. Those who don’t know they are at greater risk of catching COVID and having worse complications than those who do get vaccinated.

Again, as Dad has said, the odds of death are extremely low even if you catch it, Now you want to force an experimental drug into the human body of the lowest risk categories of people, athletes and children? Why? You want those people to be experimented on to save the elderly and those who may not have taken care of themselves?

Werent all the vaccines given emergency authorization status - i.e. “FDA approval” - before being administered to the general population?

Not that this first point has anything to do with the second. Paging Agent Orange, Thalidomide, Tuskegee Experminet, etc…

It’s not a door it’s a filter. And it filters things of the same size both ways, but the size gets smaller the longer it’s in the air.

If you were relying on a mask to keep you from getting infected that was a mistake. Fortunately it sounds like you were still wearing it after you were infected and before you knew you had it, which is when you’re most likely to transmit it, so the mask did its work anyway.

Or you can understand microns and how the openings are 3x the size of the virus . And a cloth sold to you in a store or a bandana are not designed to protect you or keep you from giving a virus .

Regardless of the true figures, you cannot carry on calling this a 'vaccine' when people are still catching and transmitting the virus, and some are even being hospitalised or dying from it. If it only lessens symptoms then it's a 'treatment' and not even a very good one at that.

And as such all players should be treated the same way by all having the same guidelines

When the virus leaves your mouth and nose it isn't on its own. It's in a droplet. If that droplet stops inside your mask, most virus particles do, too.

If the droplet gets past your mask and evaporates, those tiny virus particles can now get through somebody else's mask.
