Obviously the cancer patient dies.

According to the science, those who have been infected have as good and maybe better defense than those who have been vaccinated. Both of those groups have reduced symptoms and chance of death.

A vaccine is not a treatment. It is supposed to be preventative.

People are doing something about it. Some are vaccinated and others have natural immunity. Would you like to know how the a Spanish Flu ended?

Let‘s play your game. All Americans become vaccinated. Does that stop COVID? Nope. Because even with the vaccine, you can catch, carry, and infect. Also, are you willing to make the US an island? Are you willing to shit down the southern border? Hell no you are not. You don’t mind allowing people in the country illegally and allowing them to infect Americans.
lets not go there except in PMS . dont let this devolve into political view points then i will have to shut it down

If all Americans are vaccinated the net effect is far less morbidity and long term hospitalizations. That is precisely what the treated patient gets with vaccinations. It really doesn't matter if the border is open or not, Americans are filthy, uncaring and ignorant enough on their own terms with respect to spreading it. You don't have to make the country an island it's already proving itself capable of screwing this up and causing it to last longer than it might have if Americans were... well... a united people, especially in times like this.

A patient is treated with a vaccine.

We don't know the long term negative effects of having been infected with the virus. I'm reading some fascinating studies on the subject.

No one knows definitively how the Spanish Flu ended, after just over 50 million deaths, It played out, bad comparison.

i dont know and that is a valid consideration . what i do know is that no one knows how to go about containing it
They generally fizzle out when there aren't enough hosts to maintain its viral potency.

And if an American is not vaccinated, it is the American who is more at risk, right? So let the American be free to choose.

Yes…it is only Americans who spread it…that makes sense. Yes…Americans are filthy and uncaring…the rest of the world is so much better.

You won’t even answer the question posed. If we were all vaccinated, would you be willing to make us an island, separate from the rest of the world, to ensure we don’t import an evil unvaccinated people?

I have read those same articles. It is wide and varying the long-term effects.

The Spanish Flu is a great comparison. It died out from death and natural immunity, just like every virus before it. It is nature.

The following terms and use of language is simply disinformation, nonsensical or at best argumentative.

“Vaxed people should not fear Covid”
I get a flu shot every year but I'm not living in fear each time I go out in public. Same with Covid vax. If you are vaccinated then why are you fearing this virus? Lets look at it this way. Like the flu.... A person gets vaxed and goes about life while all throughout the Fall and Winter people around him are falling ill to the virus who never got vaxed. I continue on my busy day unaffected... or at least so it appears. Perhaps I do catch the strain yet by being vaxed my symptom are so mild I don't even realize that I caught the bug at all. And thus I go throughout the year pretty healthy. I live my life.

Hey listen, go get covid vax and wear a mask and be a fanatical hand washer rest of life... I care less. Cause just like the flu it will probably be a yearly vaccine event.

Until people who are vaxed start falling deathly ill and dying from this then I'm not gonna fear it. Nor should you, and if your reason for fearing Covid after the vaccine is because you still may catch it (albeit mildly we're told) and pass it on to an unvax person possibly killing them then that's very noble of you but I ain't that noble. We all know the risk. I'm not gonna wear a mask and continue my fanatical hand washing while limiting my outside life and travel just to protect someone elses unvaxed ass.

Vaxed people- I respect your decision for doing what you felt was best for you.
Unvaxed people- I respect your decision for doing what you feel is best for you.

Now lets play ball!!

Nobody is telling a woman what to do with her body…we are protecting the child inside.

Good try though.

We are, are we?
Cant do one without the other though.

Good try though.

Actually you can. Nobody is forcing the woman to do anything. We should prevent doctors from murdering humans though.

Also, I love how some are saying I’m a hypocrite for saying “my body, my choice“ with COVID, but not abortion. Too bad they can’t see their hypocrisy the other way. The difference is, if an unvaccinated person gets COVID and passes it on, people only die less than 2% of the time. In an abortion, people die 100% of the time.

Im done dad. Politics I know. But I sure as hell was going to defend myself against bullshit attacks.

Sometimes I don't respond to your questions because they are endless and ofttimes pointless. I know that you want debate, but as you know the two of us cannot have the conversation that we want because of the restrictions here. My answers are too close to the political edge and rather than going there, I choose to not embarrass you or myself by engaging your prodding towards the absurd.

Now before you jump all over the use of "absurd" check this out and see if you don't agree:

You wrote this in a previous post. (my responses are so noted)

"And if an American is not vaccinated, it is the American who is more at risk, right? So let the American be free to choose."

The absurdity... people are in fact choosing, others are choosing too, now when one affects the other the choices become narrower, but they still remain choices.

"Yes…it is only Americans who spread it…that makes sense. Yes…Americans are filthy and uncaring…the rest of the world is so much better."

The absurdity... you intentionally included the rest of the world then impudently defended filthy, uncaring people as better than the rest of the world as if that matters with respect to how this virus is additionally spread in the U.S.A. To be clear, we're talking about the virus as it effects this country, nothing more, nothing less. It's an obviously poor attempt to elongate the topic and drag other things into it. Truth is, we're likely to agree on more than we disagree when we stay on topic. Facts being what they are. (I tried to make the color here gold but alas it was too light to read. #BurgundyandGoldcolor scheme)

"You won’t even answer the question posed. If we were all vaccinated, would you be willing to make us an island, separate from the rest of the world, to ensure we don’t import an evil unvaccinated people?"

The absurdity... I did answer your question!! What I didn't do is follow you down a immigration rabbit hole. It seems that you love attempting to put people on blast without recognizing that your questions are sometimes anti-American historically. Now once again, before you go into any sort of histrionics about the "historically anti-American" charge, this is what I mean. For most of its history, the United States has had, for all practical purposes, open borders. That is a fact!! Sure there have been times that one border or the other was temporarily closed but if you look it up right now this country is listed as an "open border" country. Your position is historically anti-American, better yet my position and answer to your question directly, is NO! I still believe in the idea that this country can identify an issue, deal with it in ways that doesn't change it's historical "open country" status.

"I have read those same articles. It is wide and varying the long-term effects."

Some of the papers that I'm privy to read haven't been published yet. These studies are in formulate stages and haven't been verified or peer reviewed. I agree that long term effects are many but not all are negative.

"The Spanish Flu is a great comparison. It died out from death and natural immunity, just like every virus before it. It is nature."

Not absurd however, the Spanish flu led to over 50 million deaths, there are far better comparisons.

My objection is in your use of “fear!”

I don’t know anyone who’s fearful and I understand why you choose to use it. It is interesting that you are, in effect, presenting the issue and answering it as if it originated from sources other than your presentation. For the record, precaution isn’t fear… hand washing, masking, and getting vaccinated are precautions in the event that a worldwide virus finds you, nothing more. Just as an aside though hand washing should be a part of your daily living whether you’re fanatical about it or not.

Very cool. You were also trained to believe that medication saves all.
Death is a natural part of life, medications assist in the continuation of life, sometimes in allowing death to be less agonizing, they don’t save all, just saves time when they can.

Sty…I truly love you brother.

You called Americans filthy and uncaring. I believe that is all people. My point is this…you can’t say negative things about Americans and still allow people to cross the border with COVID.

No…I actually agree. We had open borders when we needed people and couldn’t really track them. It is not anti-American to want change. Hell, we used to allow slavery. I would say it is anti-American today to condone that. As for your answer, why get mad at US citizens when you want to allow foreigners in without the vaccine?

The Spanish flu was far more deadly.

I believe that being filthy and uncaring is worldwide as well. Am I not allowed to tell the truth about this country and maintain it's open border history? Why not?

@dad I hope that this isn't political.

Anyway, there was once said in very recent times, "We need more Europeans” and “We need more people from Norway.” (Google it that way we adhere to the non political rules here) Slavery is still very American, see the 19th Amendment. (Hope this doesn't cross the line either)

To get this back to football and business in the country, the same rules could apply to foreigners. Vacc. up or no entry! (borders stay open as usual)

Agreed, "the Spanish flu was far more deadly," that is why it's a bad comparison. There are others more closely in-line with this one.

What makes people filthy? Uncaring sure.

Why did Trump make that comment? The people from Norway are more capable of taking care of themselves and speak English…even though they have a horrible accent.

I think your slavery comment is crap. Explain in a PM?

Is the 19th supposed to correlate with slavery?

How can you tell if people have faxed up when the border is open?

It was far more deadly…it was a virus…it ran its course and ended.
