It's not about courts, it's about cases in courts. Gray area can be manipulated but Jack's case doesn't have that. Did he have guns at the airport is the question.
It's entirely about the courts.
Prosecutors drop charges all the time.
Sometimes for lesser charges, sometimes drop them altogether.
At which point, it doesn't matter what evidence there was or was not.

In states like Massachusetts, politics is also a major consideration. One never knows how well connected any person is within the political spectrum. The last thing any of them wants to do is screw the Governor's chance at re-election. That means the AG and all of his/her staff are back looking for work.

If Kraft is in a 'wait and see' position, chances are that he'll be working the back room to see if there's any way that Jones can stay and play. Since none of us has any experience in these cases, we're guessing at best. I spent fifteen years in and out of court working on client loss cases. Everything from Worker's Comp. to general liability suits. In half of the court cases I was involved with, a deal got worked out before the first Prosecution statement was spoken.

Hmm...dumb you say?

Can he break up passes?
Can he intercept a few of them?

He'll be a Pat this year and next as well.
Not just dumb…. Very fucking dumb. He seems like he’s just going to get worse with dumb choices. So far he has. I hope he doesn’t play a single down for the Patriots and does some prison time for his unacceptable behavior. Might do him some good. I think the Patriots can survive without his 2 interceptions. I’m actually surprised he even understands the playbook, he’s so fucking dumb.

We live in a new age and a new era. I may be an old fart but even I can see things are changing. Whether you or I don't like what's happening, we better learn to deal with it. I'll be lucky if I'm still alive 15 years from now. The guys I was closest and best friends with in a different world fifty years ago are all pretty much gone.

The legal and court systems are not the same as they were in 1999. Prisons are restrictive, but nowhere near the penalty for crimes that they were 24 years ago. AND They were much improved in 1999 from 1974. Even judges don't want to put people away anymore.

The worst thing that a criminal can be penalized today is to take away his/her night life. Being under house arrest and having to to be home at 8:00 pm is worse than being in prison because you hve all of the freedom until the sun goes down when things really start to happen and you can't play.

If you're in prison, you get used to a daily routine and and a night routine. You're not exposed to the fun and games, so you don't miss it or want it as badly as you do when it's right there but can't touch it for the next two years. It's basically legal torture. I've never done time so I can only go by what I've been told by people I know personally who did hard time. I'm talking hard time in San Quentin for 2nd degree murder.

We all "know" somebody. We base our opinions on what we've been told, read or seen on TV. In my opinion, they're looking for ways to penalize criminals and rehab them, not punish them. The worst prisons still active are the old ones like Attica, San Quentin, Folsom, Cook County. They're all being replaced with newer, modern ones like Colorado, Berlin, NH and others. They don't want repeat tenants.

This may actually be the dumbest thing you ever posted, even possibly the dumbest thing ever posted on this board. Are you saying "sex in the shower" is a benefit of prison?

Don't know if the thread I started yesterday was deleted or just disappeared. Won't start another.

Here's one that'll make BB's day.

IF, IF the Patriots do not make the playoffs this season, then BB cannot refuse to allow HBO to film "Hard Knocks". The NFL has already informed Bob Kraft that the Patriots will be the main Hard Knocks team of 2024 if they fail to make the playoffs. BB "hates" the program because he feels it takes away from what has already been a 'watered down' OTA, Mini Camp and Training Camp through the NFLPA and Owners reducing coaching activities and player activities over the past ten years.

What do you think the odds are that BB will gear this team up this year, make the playoffs, if for nothing more than to tell Roger Goodell to shove Hard Knocks up his ass?

He will gear this team up this year but shoving Hard Knocks up Goodell's ass is just frosting on the cake.
He will enjoy the frosting however.

Couldn't find a more appropriate or whatever place for this.

Just received some really shitty news.

Last Friday, my younger brother's wife was in such pain that he rushed her to the hospital in Chatanooga. They found a couple of Gall Stones but took some blood because she appeared to be slightly Jaundiced. Then they did Cat scans and found a growth on her pancreas and a spot on her liver. They went in and took biopsies.

The news was bad. Malignant cancer in both organs. Can't be operated on. The best scenario from last Friday would have been a procure called Whipple Surgery. That involves removing the gall bladder, a section of the pancreas and a section of the liver. Very complicated and not done very often. From all indication, they can't do anything because the pancreas does not respond well to exposure to air. Worse if cancer is present. The liver tumor has obstructed the relief duct causing her jaundice. They will be able to go in and place an aortical stent in the duct and that will allow the liver to operate.

The oncologist, internal surgeon and pancreatic specialist will meet this afternoon and discuss all option. Right now Chemo appears to be the only treatment that she will be able to have.

She's 66 and looks 35. Been a beautiful girl her entire life. She had a tumor when she was 17 and the surgeon nearly killed her and destroyed her uterus. Never was able to have children so her and my brother adopted. They've been looking at houses near me and planned to move here. They took their house off the market yesterday.

Thanks for listening.
