I could get behind a Vrabel & Skippy reunion.

Vrabel though not great as an HC did have some good years in TN. He also brings that discipline that is badly needed.

Skippy is a good OC and has shown he can work well with most QBs. We need that so we don't turn Maye into Mac Jones 2.0. Because, regardless who comes in there will be a new learning curve for Maye. I hope he doesn't regress.

Someone mentioned Saleh for DC.

Now that gives me a little chubby. Vrabel, Skippy and Saleh. Never happen this is NE.

I have always like Vrabel. Intense man though. I met him once and he almost ran me over. We were at the Senior Bowl watching practice and while other coaches just sat around chatting with everyone not watching practice he was running up and down the sideline taking notes on everything he was seeing.

I think he got a bit of a raw deal in Tennessee. They do not have great ownership and he never got a QB that could consistently make his job easier yet he still had some winning seasons along the way. Give him Maye and control of the roster and I think he could do some nice things moving forward.

Agreed. He will need a legit #1 WR and we don't have that. No WR will want to come here, and personally I am tired of drafting them. I feel like the Pats drafing WRs is equal to that of the Browns drafting QBs

Unfortunately I am not sure there is a true #1 type hitting FA this year unless some cuts happen. Tee Higgins is good don't get me wrong, but his injury history and how much Jamar Chase makes his life easy taking coverage away from him I just worry the transition to true #1 might not go as planned.

I do think there are a lot of really good #2 WR's though. Cooper is getting up in age but still a good player. Godwin should be healed up from his injury (this is who I am hoping the Broncos go after in FA). Diggs you are taking a chance with his injury and obviously he is proving to be a diva everywhere he goes. Hopkins is getting older but as a compliment to a younger piece he could be fun. Hollywood Brown we haven't seen much of him this year so hard to tell what he has in the tank.

If I were the Patriots I would probably bring in a couple of those guys not named Higgins (probably could get 2 of them for the price of Higgins) and then hope you can find some magic in the draft. Maybe it is taking Travis Hunter or Tetairoa McMillan.

theres a reason he hasnt been hired

Former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel will interview for the Bears’ and Saints’ head coaching vacancies.
Vrabel, who was passed over for head coaching jobs last offseason, will also interview with the Jets for their head coaching vacancy. Vrabel went 54-45 over six years with the Titans, running one of the most conservative offenses in the NFL and largely failing to adopt to the modern NFL. The Saints would represent a total rebuild project for Vrabel, 49. In Chicago, Vrabel would inherit Caleb Williams in Chicago after Williams’ borderline disastrous rookie campaign. Only Anthony Richardson and Will Levis had lower EPAs per play than Williams in 2024.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Executive Vice President of Player Personnel Eliot Wolf will return next season.
Kraft opened his Monday presser by taking full responsibility for the firing of former head coach Jerod Mayo, who Kraft said was put in an “untenable” situation. Shortly after, he announced that Wolf and senior personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith would return to their roles next season while adding they will be “looking for people working together.” Kraft dodged any questions about the possibility of Mike Vrabel being at the top of his coaching wish list, but nobody would be surprised to see the former Patriots linebacker and Titans head coach return home if the two sides came to an agreement. It will be a busy few days in New England as the team looks to sort itself out and find the next coach to usher in the post-Belichick era.
