That's just them prepping for the fire sale they are going to need to have this summer.

That 1990 draft how would you like to be Isles.

And would like to note the run on ex-Penguin d-men at 7,9 and 10(2).
wow. how do you miss so bad. I mean Nedved was actually pretty decent (attitude sucked) but a really good player so I am the it is what it is. but that pick would haunt me as a fan lol He is the Isles version of Patrick White but at least Scissons played 2 games in the NHL :)

Man, not that the Flyers taking Ricci was a bad pick, but leaving Jagr for their cross-state rival is just yikes...

PresidentJay Snider
General managerRuss Farwell

Not positive, but I think Russ Farwell was GM of the Medicine Hat Tigers prior to joining the Flyers...

Edit: Yup, he was GM from 1982 through 1987 lol

Look at the mid-90s - early 2000s drafts by the Habs.

I still have my Terry Ryan jersey

took a walk down memory lane

1986 - #7 - Dan Woodley - 5 NHL games
1987 - #3 - traded to Boston as a sweetener for Neely / Pederson. the pick was Glen Wesley (1,400+ games)
1988 - #2 - Linden - that one turned out OK
1989 - #8 - Jason Herter - 1 NHL Game (he was a point/per game player though!)
1990 - #2 - Petr Nedved - 900+ games, but coulda been Jagr. 3 seasons with Canucks, traded for Janney, who never played for us
1991 - #7 - Alek Stojanov - 107 games (just turned into Naslund)
1992 - #21 - Libor Polasek - 0 games
1993 - #20 - Mike Wilson - 336 games of *meh*, all played elsewhere. He was part of the Peca trade that brought Mogilny though

how's THAT for setting up your team for a decade of success!

I can remember seeing his Score rookie draft card (which is a 100% memorable sub set) and thinking on first sight and getting the vibe ... this guys going no where

In 1995, Scissons tried out for the Dallas Stars, but a pessimistic assessment by the team doctor lead into an early retirement at the age of 22. He returned to Saskatoon, got his certificate in commerce, and started working on his family business, Western Mobile Homes
