The swapped picks their 2018 5th for a 2019 3rd so a benefit for the Browns but do you read this stuff before you post it? They did not trade him for picks. Essentially they traded Shelton and a 5th round pick for a 3rd round pick.

The Browns wanted to trade for Alex Smith but we beat them out. So they settled for Taylor and still had to give up a 3rd round pick. We had to give the Chiefs Fuller but we got the better QB which is much more important that a slot CB.

They simply gave up a third for a game manager. They didn’t give up a third and what equates to a first in Fuller because that is how good Fuller was last season (and two years remain on the rookie contract). Alex Smith is Tyrod Taylor. Smith just had far more weapons.

we gave up a young PB CB in the making and a 3rd rounder for steve deberg . that was a stupid deal considering we could have had any of the fa's for NO COST , and likely the equal of 71 mil guaranteed or less

PB fro Fuller is very premature. You refuse to admit that Alex Smith is a good QB and can play for 3-4 years. None of the FA Qb's are as good as him. The Browns lost out. The had to settle for TT b/c Smith didn't want to have nothing to do with them and picked us. I bet the Browns offered more in trade compensation.

If Alex Smith wins how he is a stop gap? We have a better chance of winning then the Browns and they have tons of money and a lot of draft picks.
