Ditto to my response to Flyerhawk.Mebane is the anchor on our defensive line and he was hurt last year. Jordan Hill was a monster in his short time playing before he got hurt.
McDaniel was a productive and valuable starter, but when healthy Mebane far and away the better player and Hill given his age and potential is the more viable option moving forward.
Losing McDaniel hurts the depth because if Mebane goes down again we don't have a player like McDaniel to step up. But that is the nature of the business.
Seahawks are going to lose depth, aging vets, and young players who want more money. The key is to resign the core players and to hit on the draft to continue to replenish the depth
