You dont know that would be the same for say a USC, or a ND, or an Alabama. costs vary from state to state, region to region and you have no way of saying they are "grossly exaggerated" without knowing all the variables involved at each school. So this argument you are using is floating on a see of crap.

Basically you are saying, you pulled 400,000 out of a floating "see" of crap, when you honestly have no clue what the cost would be? Kind of the like the cost per recruit ratio you made up. Got it.

Can anybody give one logical argument as to why satellite camps should be banned? They have been around for years, so why now are they the devil that needed immediate termination?

I don't really care one way or the other, but I'm failing to see what harm they are causing anybody.

I'll also leave an interview with Mike Leach for shits and giggles.

Ask Saban about his #1 recruiting classes he was bringing in at MSU. Or why "his method" didn't work in the NFL?

SEC fans can't be this delusional to not realize they are smack dab in the middle of the best recruiting areas in the country or they are just too stubborn to admit it.

It's funny that you are under this strange impression that coaches don't get better over time. Pretty much highlights your general ignorance.

What harm do most recruiting rules cause? It's all attempts to make things "fair".

You mean the method of having the SEC schools located in pretty much every top recruiting state in the country outside of California?

Alabama somehow manages to pull recruits from across the country without camps. But Michigan is unable to do so?

Says more about your school than it does location.

He's within driving distance of a huge percentage of top high school talent. He's also a very good recruiter for a team that has been very successful recently, but the location advantage definitely plays a part. If you want to talk about fairness for all, the camps helped with that.

We pull in recruits all the way from California without camps, try again.

It's not about location, it's about the program.

What is unfair about satellite camps?

Team budgets.

Saban would run about 50 of them a summer while smaller teams can't afford to fly their staff around the country.

No I openly admitted my cost was fictional, but now you are saying it is grossly exaggerated and you cannot make that claim without knowing other schools cost and regional factors. Everything is not as you wish it to be, numbers change from region to region. I will prove it to you. The cost of said privagte aircraft is not static from location to location. The cost of fuel for said aircraft is dependent on region. The variable factor of a coaches pay is different from one person to the next, one school to the next and that is a factor that does play into the equation. The cost of travel distance is also a big factor. the cost of hotel stays and rental vehicles varies from location to location. The number of trips made is also not static. I can go on all day to show that you have no clue what you are talking about when saying my numbers could not possibly be correct. And remember that in the beginning of all this i stated I pulled that number out of the air, but I could still prove it could happen given enough of everything involved.

I said logical.

You have absolutely no concern whatsoever for smaller schools and their recruiting budgets.

Where do MOST of your recruits come from?

Outside the state of Alabama.

Last years class was 24 recruits, only 6 of them are from Alabama.

2 from California
1 from Conn
1 from DC
1 from Florida
1 from Georgia
2 from Louisiana
1 from Maryland
3 from Mississippi
1 from North Carolina
1 from Oklahoma
4 from Texas

I don't, but you asked why it was done and that's your answer.

But it is the Saban method. Let me guess -- he didn't come up with the "method" until he got to the SEC.

And general ignorance is completely ignoring the fact you sit smack dab in the middle of the best recruiting areas in the country and instead call it the Saban method.

So 17 of 24 come from SEC territory.

General ignorance is not realizing that he himself often talks about the progress of what he does. Even while at Alabama he's constantly evolved the way things are done.

Oh that's right. I forgot, you believe everything out of Saban's mouth. He really must have evolved that method this past year to pull in a 5 star LB from..............Alabama and another 5 star LB from.............Alabama. :L

12 out of 24 were from within 500 miles from campus.

Nebraska recruited 6 out of 21 from within 500 miles.
