Go Bucks!
My bet is Harbaugh violated more than one "loophole" on those sleepovers.Good point. How does one violate a loophole? You can use a loophole to your advantage, but you can't really violate it.

My guess is he's going to get nailed for a lot of violations. Hes put himself under a very bad spotlightMy bet is Harbaugh violated more than one "loophole" on those sleepovers.
We all know the real shock is when harbaughs turns the flashlight off under the blankets after telling scary urban meyers storiesB1G et. al. are for these "guest" camps because they can invade recruiting areas outside their natural territories, build relationships with coaches and recruits, and improve their chances of landing talent in said territories.
SEC, ACC et. al. are against these "guest" camps because because they do not want to give any advantage to teams outside their fertile recruiting areas.
Players are for these "guest" camps because they are cheap, close to home, and give them the opportunity to be noticed not just by coaches of big-time programs, but also coaches of not-so-big-time programs who tag along looking for talent.
Here's a shock - they are all acting in their own self-interest and there is nothing wrong with that.
Except for the PAC12 and Big 12. They acted in the interest of the power brokers of their conferences...not in the best interest of the majority of their members. And the Sun Belt and MWC...no idea wtf they were thinking.B1G et. al. are for these "guest" camps because they can invade recruiting areas outside their natural territories, build relationships with coaches and recruits, and improve their chances of landing talent in said territories.

We know we know It was for the kids. It really wasn't for the kids but thats our story and we are sticking to itExcept for the PAC12 and Big 12. Not in the eyes of many current and future players.
Did I miss something or did the B1G vote FOR the Camps? What are they going to be mad at Harbaugh for? Doing too many camps?
If he were breaking a rule -- I'd agree -- he'd be the bad guy. He played by the rules and the SEC and ACC didn't like it, so they proposed a ban.
You were going to bump some posts where I said it was only for the kids but I haven't seen any of those yet...We know we know It was for the kids. It really wasn't for the kids but thats our story and we are sticking to it
The point of it is to get exposure/see more kids, so it would be dumb to make it cost-prohibitive. Conversely, it is an opportunity for kids to get noticed. We got one kid who didn't have offers from local schools as a direct result of a satellite camp last year.
That's my point as to how it helps the student athlete. Schools are only going to pay for a kid that they already have interest in. This is a chance for that under the radar kid to get noticed by schools from around the country when they normally might have been overlooked.
I know this is just one kid, but I don't think Bootle had any offers prior to Nebraska. Was overlooked by everyone. He's now got a full ride at a P5 school. This is just one example of many. Check out twitter...many players are tweeting that they wouldn't be going where they are without the camps.
Thanks 4down oak night knows playoff hockey is on nowBumped from page 2 because you said these didn't exist. These were some of your first posts in this thread.
Because Harbaugh is the reason they are gone. He couldn't just do it, he had to flaunt it and try to start shit with people over them.
The SEC didn't propose the ban, they just voted in favor of it. So did the Big12 and Pac12. The only conference that didn't vote against them were the Big10 and some mid majors conferences.
Nice company the Big10 is in.
Where in any of those did I say that it didn't also benefit the schools?Bumped from page 2 because you said these didn't exist. These were some of your first posts in this thread.
You know I can't fault a guy for thatThanks 4down oak night knows playoff hockey is on now
The Atlantic Coast And Southeastern Conferences have introduced proposals for the NCAA convention, set to begin Wednesday in San Antonio, which would abolish satellite camps, a concept Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh employed extensively last summer.
The ACC proposal would forbid universities to use secondary sites for camps. Such camps would have to be held on campus or at facilities regularly used by the program. Harbaugh went on a “Summer Swarm” tour in 2015, holding camps in various locations.
The SEC proposal would prohibit coaches from serving as guest coaches at another school’s camp.
They both sent in proposals to ban them.

How about that first one you quoted where I said the point was for the schools to see more players and get exposure? It damn sure wasn't your argument.
Because Harbaugh is the reason they are gone. He couldn't just do it, he had to flaunt it and try to start shit with people over them.
