The Pats are likely to lose their offensive coordinator, and traded a valuable second round pick for Mohammed Sanu who had 200 yards receiving this season. They lack talent all over on offense and have insufficient draft capital to address the issue, AND are unattractive to free agents for the first time in years because no one is sure whether Brady will be around.

All of that means dynasty over. It was an amazingly, amazingly good ride, Pats, but it is time to return to your historic status as a scrub team.

Brady would be wise to try and play elsewhere if he plays again, which I think he will. It could be Carolina, IMO, maybe the Chargers, maybe even Dallas, but he likely plays again. Just not in New England.

Jesus Christ, that Sanu trade could be epically bad if this WR group is as deep as some are saying.

It wasn't hindsight to say Sanu was a replacement value receiver who was inferior to Emmanuel Sanders.

Well...you take a few jabs in your post...lol.

I agree with some of it, but, you could be way out in front of things with your assumptions.

This season...They made a huge mistake not addressing TE. Maybe they thought Gronk would come out of retirement, but no 2019 draft pick spent at the position when they had a ton of picks was really interesting.

Last night they ran into a their kryptonite...A team built to pound the ball when their DEF is built to defend the pass and pressure with scheme...no elite players on the edge.

2020 assuming Brady is back...they will probably be 4-2 in DIV again and around 10-6 at worst to maybe 11-5.

They will be back in the dance next year...doubtful they will be a favorite, but IMO they win the east again next year and take their chances one more time.

If Brady does leave, it better be a team that has a very good OL. I don't see him changing teams unless he thought he could play 2 more years and then we start to border on getting dangerous with a 44 y/o man out there.

When you're reaching for the untouchables (AB), you're desperate. Sanu was a great #3 in ATL with decent skills as a WR2.

Well, everyone other than Patriots fans hope this is the case. However, New England actually has decent ownership so it wouldn't Shock Me if they remain relevant

The Eagles killed them and showed the league they could be beat. Then the Pats had a dead cat bounce last year also lucking into playing a pathetic Rams team.

Bye.

I know a lot of Bears fans that want the Bears to go after Brady. With our offensive line, he would not make it through the season.

Agreed. Sanu definitely benefitted in Atlanta by having Julio and now Ridley there. You can tell in NE that he wasn't able to be a difference maker.

Sanu is a smart player, big, physical and good between the hash marks...but not great creating separation vs man coverage. Not the ideal talent they needed in NE, but at the time...he was the best available...the worst of it was the 2nd rd pick....a top 60 pick for Sanu is a pretty good return.

Meh. Pats will get better once they get a real QB, not some noodle armed candy ass that has rode the coattails of his headcoach and teammates for so long.
