Mizzou was kinda running out of skill players on offense so FGs FTW

SMH
They looked great in the first halfTale as old as time, Iowa suckage.
Iowa has always been one of those teams that any given week can pull off an upset and beat anyone but as far as consistency, it’s just not there. They looked great in the first half
Awesome punt return
Lol ninjadIowa is never going to get over the hump IMO, they are always decent and will win around 8-9 games but they’ll never be a serious contender in the Big 10 as long as Ferentz is the coach. They never have a good offense.
Been that way for so long tooIowa is never going to get over the hump IMO, they are always decent and will win around 8-9 games but they’ll never be a serious contender in the Big 10 as long as Ferentz is the coach. They never have a good offense.
Apart from 2003 when they made it to the Orange Bowl and got destroyed by Carson Palmer’s USC and 2015 when they lost to Michigan State in the Big 10 Championship game, they fit this description precisely.Iowa is never going to get over the hump IMO, they are always decent and will win around 8-9 games but they’ll never be a serious contender in the Big 10 as long as Ferentz is the coach. They never have a good offense.
PSU vs. Boise St.
PSU's D is ranked #7 out of 132 teams. the only 2 real defenses BSU has seen was the #12 and #29 defenses. after that you have to go dumpster diving to find the rest of the D they've seen.
Realistically, if any of the favored teams reads and believes the press clippings and feels all they have to do to move on is show up, they can and likely will be defeated.CFP Quarterfinals predictions
Time for quarterfinal picks! But the thing is, I've already made up my mind about which teams I'm gonna pick. So this will just be a quick pick segment, as well as my reasons for why I picked them (All games on ESPN):
Fiesta Bowl: Penn State vs. Boise State [8:00] (Both @PIBuckeye and @uga8766 made interesting points about tonight's big game. But I think that Penn State's defense will use their extra practice time to devise a way to stop Ashton Jeanty. And when Jeanty is stopped, I don't think the other guys on Boise State will be talented enough to do anything big.)
Tomorrow:
Peach Bowl: Texas vs. Arizona State [1:00] (I don't wanna sell Arizona State short; they've had a great season up to this point. But when the chips are down in the 2nd half, can Cam Skattebo and Sam Levitt outduel Quinn Ewers and the Texas D? I don't think so. Texas wins, but closer than the experts think.)
Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs. Oregon [5:00] (Oregon is the new Big 10 champions. Oregon has beaten Ohio State once before this season. So why are they a underdog in this CFP quarterfinal? Is the revenge factor that strong for the Buckeyes? Or are the skeptics just worried about Oregon's offense and it's perceived lack of zing? Just know that things have been whisper-quiet in Eugene, and that calm should help the Ducks win.)
Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame vs. Georgia [8:45] (So despite Georgia being the SEC champions, their game against the Irish is almost a "pick-em". Well, Notre Dame DID get over the CFP hump the last time we saw them, but that was against Indiana. And Georgia may no longer have Carson Beck at QB, but they've been practicing without Beck for a while now. When push comes to shove, Georgia should out-tough Notre Dame and win this.)
Now off to my CBB thread to shut it down. Happy New Year, folks!
