Boise State softball batting avg. last year at this time

The Boise State softball team led the nation in hitting last season and at this same point in their season - after 8 games - the 2018 Boise State softball team had a batting average of .321.

This season - with some very anemic hitting by about 1/2 of the team - the 2019 Boise State softball team is hitting a very woeful .243 so far. Quite the difference from last season. So with that being said it's fairly remarkable that they are currently 6-2 so far this season.

And five of the eight games that Boise State started their 2018 season against were against Stanford, Tennessee, Indiana, Iowa State and Northwestern.

This year the only teams of note that Boise State has played in their first 8 games was Texas and Mississippi.

After the four games this last weekend the Boise State team batting average has jumped from .243 up to .288. A difference of 45 points in 4 games.
